How did I just see this today? Dang, these are nice. I'm going to have to work with these and see if I can find a place to put them in my PW. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)

No problem Nexorcist! I'll be editing these into a hak that uses a modified 2da anyway - just wanted to point it out so nobody misses these: They're terrific! _________________________ NWN Shield Reskins Link New Small Shields Link
Sorry about that, I added the 2da as a separate download for people to add to the hak, I will add it into the main hak in the next update.

These look very good, but I'm having trouble with them - I'm thinking they need a modified baseitems.2da to work properly (MaxRange). I can't find the parts using a vanilla SoU/HotU mod. Importing the erf allows display of the models in the toolset, but model # field remains blank. I tried this hak with cep and voila: everything became available (and quite nice), but appeared to conflict with some cep models.
Since nobody else mentioned any trouble, I'm assuming the baseitems.2da went missing in a recent update? Anyway, these look excellent, and would be perfect for a setting I'm working on. _________________________ NWN Shield Reskins Link New Small Shields Link

The throwing axe isnt a primitive weapon so I will not be adding it to the pack itself, although I will add it as an optional download for you. Thanks for the vote too.

Any news on an update? also.. any chance of getting that throwing axe?
How about a miniature version of your flint axe for hand axes - I know that seems pretty easy - but I think it's needed. _________________________ "I'll sit myself behind this clock, and sing tunes on its belfry!

Just so nobody gets the wrong idea, when I said simple, I didnt mean too simple so dont let them scare you away from asking...anyway, just ask...I can always say "bugger off" ;)
Some alternate setting weapons is a great idea, post some images if you can and I'll see what I can do, that goes for anyone else...it doesnt have to be real life, even if its something you just made up let me know. Please keep it sort of primitive looking though, I dont want things like dragonbone longswords with a fancy carved blade thats got 20k of polys in it, with a handle that could put most tilesets to shame on the faces scale :P
But if its simple and not metal then post a request and I'll prob knock them up as I get time.
And again, thanks for the kind words...they are always welcome
Let me just say great work on this, Nexorcist! Very impressive and definately some of what I need for a couple of my projects. ;)
Out of curiousity, what is your take on weapons that are primative but non-historic? (i.e., those found in the Dark Sun campaign setting?) If these sorts of weapons have been made, then they would have to be buried in one of the huge Athas hakpacks on the vault, and my dialup doesn't like those. ;D
If anyone knows of any Darksun haks that definately have weapons/armor in them I'd try to download them to see whats there.
In the meantime, I see you have a 'monster bone club' in this hak, so I figure you're probably open to it. Nearly all weapons there in Dark Sun are made of wood, bone, or stone/obsidian. Since Dark Sun contains made up creatures, it has jaw bones from very large animals that make blade-shaped weapon heads and the like.
I can get you some images of some Dark Sun weapon illustrations when/if you'd like. But this is a list to see if you are interested in any:
Dragons Paw: Essentially a new appearance for a two-bladed sword. Each end has a flat double-edged blade. The center of the pole has a third, c-shaped curved blade that faces away from the wielder. The weapon's grips are on either side of this central blade.
Alhulak: A heavy flail. It has a bone head that resembles a four-bladed grappling hook. The head is mounted on a short wooden shaft which is connected to the weapon's shaft and grip by rope.
Carrikal: A battle axe with a head having two twin bone axe blades. They don't face opposite directions like a great axe, however, instead they are mounted at about the same place on the shaft, both facing slightly different angles so the two blades open away from one another at roughly a 30 degree angle.
Gythka: A double axe that has a bone, three-headed spear at each end.
Trikal: Like a halberd with a flanged head. Essentially three bone or obsidian blades that connect to three different sides of the business end of shaft.
Quabone: A mace fashioned with a flanged, bone head. It has bone edges jutting not only from the flanges of the head but down the shaft as well.
Lotulis: A double axe with a cresent shaped blade made of bone or obsidian at each end. The cresent opens outward, so that the points face away from the weapon's shaft and the curved, back side of the cresent is the mounting point.
Impaler: A greataxe with a wide, T-shaped head fashioned from bone. Similar to those cresent-headed polearms they have in the CEP (historic name escapes me), though they don't have the large weight at the other end, and they are mounted on a shorter shaft.
