All,
What a night I have had. Totally reinstalled XP sp2 andthe programs I wanted. Importantly NWN saved games.
I got a bit muddled with all the CEP's so I installed them all. Wondered whether CEP1 was necessary and and I could not find CEP1.53 but I think that it must only be a patch.
Citadel is working fine and all my games are there so I am rapt.
I never noticed that there was no respawn penalty but you know what they say about gifts and horses!
I think its time for the Piney Woods.

There are a few sites that I am having difficulty on. Some of my characters come in hostile, and can't move. I was told it had something to do with cep patch 153, and a few small changes could fix this for those sites. Any people have this issue? If so, mail me with the cure at [email protected] Thanks.
OK, I see the disclaimers that this patch doesn't work with NWN patch 1.68. So what does, then? Nothing listed under the authorship of the CEP team on the Vault does. Is CEP 1 broken for NWN patch 1.68, or is there something that we should be downloading? _________________________ Sanctum of the Archmage Writing Projects Website and Blog Academy for Modding Excellence
sir eldar - I have the same problem, if someone has a .exe download, that would work better as that is what someone provided for cep1.52 and that worked perfectly.

a friend of mine has installed all the required files on her comp and she is getting a "missing cep1patch 1.53" when she trys to connect to a server. I have checked her files all are in place. we have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling all of cep files. she also has all the required expansions, and nwn update 1.67. any suggestions?

I don't know if it has to do with this patch or the 1.67 or what but our whole module is corrupt now for some reason....Four days now I've been trying to fix it to no avail.
It starts to load the server/mod but it always says ide log in disabled or it says cannot load module files might be corupt...
I have no idea what to do...

Rumpelstilzchen: The CEP and this patch have nothing to do with it.
kuroboshi: Thanks for replying with that info. As for myself I think that's one of the highlights of NWN1.67. I love reading creature descriptions, but hated learning how to best defeat the creature.

Both challenge ratings and magical effects on creatures became optional settings with the 1.67 patch from Bioware. CEP has nothing to do with it. For single player modules you make the changes in your nwnplayer.ini file in the "server" section of the file. For online play the server operator modifies the same file. The lines to add are:
Examine Effects On Creatures=1
Examine CR On Creatures=1
if those are not present or set to 0 then those examine effects no longer work. It is in the Bioware patch documentation. You obviously did not reach their patch doucmentation very fully before making your post Rumple. Do not blame CEP for a Bioware change.

No! AFTER nwn 167 but BEFORE CEP 153 i was still able to read challenge ratings! So don´t tell me that the dissaparing of it has nothing to do with the latest cep update
What the **** are you talkinga bout Rumple? The ability to hide challenge ratings was part of NWN v1.67. This CEP patch has nothing to do with that. Get your facts straight, man.

Congratulations! With this "patch" you have erased a lot of fun from the game. Now players can no longer see how strong the opponent is. But thats no problem because after dying and losing xp they know. Really great! THIS PATCH SUCKS!!!!!
NWN1 will probably not begin to die out until an entire year passes after NWN2 comes out.

Cool
I´ll just wait for the patches then...
and for the v2.0 too!
It´ll probably be a while before i am able to buy NWN2 so i hope NWN1 doesnt gets ditched too soon...
Just a quick question. Once I extracted the new hak file in the NWN/hak folder, should I delete the "cep1patch152.hak" file or leave it here? Is the "old" file necessary to play all of the modules that are not updated to v1.67?
