This adds a VALID invisible blade option for use with "Visual Effect" and "Damage Bonus" item properties on each of the following bladed weapons:
Double Bladed Sword
Bastard Sword
Dagger
Great Sword
Katana
Long Sword
Rapier
Scimitar
Short Sword
You can use almost any of that weapon's handle types (middle and bottom parts) with these blades.
I named the Hak Cep2Elem.hak because if you have Cep this will only overwrite the 4th colour (white) on the lightswords to get a white lightsword when using this hak just set "Visual Effect: Sonic" however...
"Visual Effect" just gives the visual, to actually give the damage type use "Damage Bonus" and the elemental type, the visual effect is added automatically on a damage bonus of 4, 1d6 or higher, otherwise just set "Visual Effect" for the lower bonus values.
For non Cep users there is a baseitems.2da to download to your override to allow for these new blades.
I was going to make a seperate hak including this 2da, and will on request.
The blades shown on the right in the proof of concept images are NOT in the .Hak !
Added file(s)/image(s): None at this time as am working on version 1.1
This is my first vault contribution and as I do not have a 3d modelling program, I did all of the adjustments to the blades BY HAND in the models ASCII.
Also let me know if you would like me to continue working on this with other blades such as axes.
The non Cep compatible baseitems.2da for use in the override dir.
(For builders: Basically it allows for more blades for the swords above, Cep as an example already has this plus more items listed)
I moved on from NWN not too long after posting that suggestion, and just came back here on a whim this evening.
While this isn't precisely what I had in mind when I made the suggestion (I was thinking something that would use custom models that are visible blades that appear to be made of light, as the emitter shields I mentioned), these are nonetheless pretty cool. I especially like the look of the lightning blades. Only reason I'm not leaving a vote is I want to see how they look in-game before I do so. Not sure exactly when that'll happen, since I haven't played NWN in several months now, and may not again, what with NWN2 coming soon.
Still, good work on these. They definitely look quite good, and would serve the purposes of something like the PRCs soulblade quite well--certainly better than what they were using last I looked.

Working on the blades at the moment, once they are all ready then i'll work on that for you and the community RoadWyrm.
I am also working on about 32 pages of A4 scripting (Thats my notes and designs.) and about 29% of it is implemented on my system and working, including specific custom polymorphs, sub polymorphs, spell adjustments, a system of various tag based items (For OnEquip, Use.) etc. but I am waiting for CEP2 to come out (Non beta.) so I can update and implement all of my scripting fully, as in it works for me but needs a little dusting off with a couple of tweaks for new versions... heh.

If you could make unarmed attacks use a weapon that can be equipt in the hand that would be cool. The problem that I had was that there are no nodes for gloves and the model for equiptable gloves was limited to bag, scroll, ect.
Im a noob when it comes to nodes and emitters but wouldnt you need a model for the emittions to be in the hand? Since un-armed doesnt permit a weapon to be equipt the best thought that I had was to use the kama.
If you could make unarmed gloves for monks that use emitters and looks like their hands glow Ill up my vote to a 10 in no time.

RoadWyrm, With the help of a modeller that request is technically do-able along with the other blades...
As for equippable gloves they should really use the un-armed combat feats.
I also have ideas for a couple of new types of blade...
Thank you for the feedback, I will see what I can come up with. _________________________ Author of: Elemental Blades (V1.0 Swords) Link

Very nice.
The idea that I was actually thinking of that would be really interesting is having the emitter closer to the fist and perhapes even look like a fist creating the effect of magical gloves useing the kamas for monks. I had actually attempted to make it myself but the best I could do was make the blade really small and the monk appeared to be holding a handle..much like the pictures above.
So even though its technically a kama and the monk would want to get the kama feats for all gaming purposes it would be named and look like a glove (whoot! I switched the icon in hand to be a glove).
Watch as the rate goes up a notch.

RoadWyrm you asked about kama's, take a little look at my proof of concept images...
They need a some work before I can add them to the .hak

Thanks Moxy4One,
glad you like them :^)
I have updated the description above due to the fact that "Visual Effect" just gives the visual to actually give the damage type use "Damage Bonus: " and the elemental type and the visual effect is added automatically on "[4 Damage]" or "[1d6 Damage]" or higher.. _________________________ Author of: Elemental Blades (V1.0 Swords) Link

These are great looking and they are CEP compatible. I love how it was all done just by editing the ascii file. Fantastic work! _________________________ _______________________________
I like 3D. I like NWN. Oh and apparently I love acronyms.

By that I mean using a text editor! _________________________ Author of: Elemental Blades (V1.0 Swords) Link

Assume you like them RoadWyrm,
Adding other blades will depend on what model numbers are
free in Cep but I will post an image of what an axe may look
like for you...
I'm currently in conversation with a modeller to see what we can come up with...
I also like my own work and would give myself a 10.00 but IMHO that would be cheating! (So I didn't) _________________________ Author of: Elemental Blades (V1.0 Swords) Link

Yes, kamas would be nice to have (gloves...lol) and it would be interesting to see what an axe would look like.
