This will restore the Assassin vines and all other plant race creatures, Driders, Wemics, and Brownies.
Place the hak in your stack under the cep2_top. I suppose it could go anywhere but this is the best location.
I want to Thank the CEP Team for CEP 2.0. I offer this for those of us who do not wish to loose Brownies, Wemics, Plants, and Driders.
Thanks.
I have added the two packages of bic (character PCs) lvl 1 characters for making Brownies and Wemics. There is one for each standard staring class and sex. Use Leto to change name, voice set, and head selection and you are ready to go.
Although the these races are now Back in CEP, the .bic files here are not in the CEP.
The Characters are setup for easy start and with a little leto, one can customize the voice. The NEW CEP Body Tailor can and will customize the choice of heads, hair and skin color, add wings to make pixies and just about everything you need to customize your character EXCEPT choice of voice.
I am linking the some pictures on the CEP 2.2 Vault download page to this one for people to find the starter characters. I have played wemics, brownies and pixies and have found them all fun to play.
Drider PCs - Female/Male of each class lvl 1 - these are NOT dynamic models. The character uses CEP drider models. I have carefully choosen voice sets and model types to match the class. Leto the name and you are ready to go with these, they use the Drider Race.

CEP 2.1 will see these races restored.
Note, you still have this vault download for the starting characters which will not be in CEP 2.1.
Again, the hak contents is being restored to CEP in version 2.1. The hak here will no longer be requited for use in CEP 2.1.
You will still want to grab the character download here however.

Wow Barry, this was such a great help, now I can play a cute little Brownie Bard like in my PnP game! I actually didn't realise that the CEP gave us custom races until I saw this... which brings me to the question: re there other PC races available for PCs or just these? If there are, I can't seem to find any information on them and can you tell me how to make them? I know I'd either have to export an NPC from the toolset or... well is that how to do it? And in that case can you use any NPC race as a PC? Even in the OC? Sorry about all the questions! ^_^
Oh and, one more thing, do you know why the only why to get to the Brownie and Wemic articles on Bioware's site (The ones posted by Owl of White) is by googling the article names, and they aren't accessable through a link on the CEP section of Bioware's site? And are there articles on other races there?
Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions it would be a great help,
O.W.A.

Can Wemic and Brownie Characters only be created with the PRC?"
No PRC required, this is the CEP classes that were accidentally dropped in CEP 2.0 and will be restored in CEP 2.1. As a member, now, of the CEP team I can assure you that these will be in CEP 2.1 - the races that is.
Can Wemic and Brownie Characters only be created with the PRC? _________________________ No, I am NOT a Lotus Assassin! Those guys have scars and such, and at least I've still got some hair left.

Wonderful addition to the gaming environment... both for players and DM's alike. It's wonderful to see all these features in active play. There are some fantastic roleplay opportunities opened up here because of these.

I still don't understand why these races were left out, but thanks, Barry, for putting them back in.

Thanks Barry for making it possible for me to continue to play my wemic. It's the only PC that can wield a spear and carry a shield at the sme time. I love it. Great work!
Kymechu, I have heard that you can use the PRC Character Creator to make brownie/wemic/drider characters. _________________________ "But time flows like a river,

You don't have to be a great fan of the 'brownie' or of the 'wemic' as a character race to appreciate that variety is the attraction of the game; or that, once given, such a 'gift' shouldn't be taken away.

I downloaded thees a while back and never voted. I'm adding my vote back in now.
Thanks for re-adding these things. I never tried them before and wanted to when CEP2 came out. Isn't it ironic that they didn't include them? _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

Perfect for what it does, thanks for restoring the CEP features. (I thought I'd voted a long time ago on this, grabbed it when it first came out.)

Well done Barry, cheers all around! I only purchased NWN Diamond so that I could run the CEP 2.0 and use the Wemic characters... (I only owned the original NWN previously) Imagine my surprise when I installed everything, got CEP 2 up and running and the Wemic charaters didn't work! >:[ I did countless searches and tried to find out if I was doing something wrong. (I assumed it was me.) After two frustrating days, I found your post here and all was revealed. I installed your files Barry and now I can play as the big cats I find so cool.
;3
Good job, your work on this is greatly appreciated. You saved me from breaking yet another mouse of mine out of frustration. Your files work flawlessly so far as I can tell. Thanks!

Yay! I regained this stuff. Thanks. Barry? Barry is an odd but cool name. Were you named that like Drew Barrymore or something? Remember I'm an idiot teenager so don't take things to an offensive point, I don't like offending people anyway.
Say, who the hell is Drew Barrymore? I have no clue other than the words famous and man come to my mind when I remember that. _________________________ @===============================================@

Why I continue getting "Bad Strref" error when I try starting a new module using a Wemic character?
Hummm, I have no idea since I do not know what you are doing.
Try:
1) Did you use CEP 2.0?
2) Did you add the Brownie/Wemic hak to the top?
3) Did you rebuild, Save and reload the mod?
4) Do you have other haks that might conflict?
5) Is CEP 2.0 properly installed (including tlk)?
All the above are important!
Otherwise I can not give you any advice since I do not know what you are doing and how you are doing it.

I will work on making some drider characters to post, for now you have the brownies and wemics I just posted.

I have not looked in here for a while -- to answer a few questions:
1) Assassin vines - the model are in CEP 2 but the Race "Plant" which the assassin vines use, is not in CEP 2. The Plant race will be restored in a future CEP update - I am now on the CEP team.
how do you make a Brownie or a Wemic -- there are prototypeds at lvl one premade in all genders and starting classes you can download. Unfortunatly I did a quick search and cannot find that listing. If no one comes up with it, I will package up what i have and post it for you all.
Drider:
There were no premade driders. One can export a drider (make certain you are using the Drider race in the toolset for the lvl 1 character you export), extract the character file from the erf and change the .utc extention to .bic. Use leto to make final changes and import the character.
There are some other methods -- check the vault for tutorials and resources.
A note on the Assassin vine -- you can see it in the toolset but you will NOT see it in game unless you have the above race fix. That assassin vine has a plant race and if one does not have this fix, the assassin vine will not function.
