Have you been wanting to build rugged hills or majestic mountians using just standard rural, winter, or desert? Or, perhaps you would like to take that old Hobbit village and give it a new look! The classic hak pak Hills and Homes is what makes these wishes come true, and with this latest version you can enjoy all that it has to offer plus complete compatibility with Nwn 1.68! Download your copy today, and see what it can do for your world. Credit goes to all the great minds who labored upon this Hak Pak before me. Without all of them, we would not have this great hak today.
- Have a look at the readme file before adding Hills and Homes 1.68 to existing modules so you won't encounter problems installing the hak pak or building with it in the toolset. That said, have fun!
Hey CT, I'm getting a very odd problem with your hak.
I am using the 1.68 version of the hak and I can build with it in the toolset, but when I try to join a game with it in the mod, I am told that I can't because I'm missing the hak "hillsandhomes1_6.hak". So... I change the name of the hak on my computer and it works, but then I can work with it in the toolset. Very odd.
Any recommendations? _________________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons.

Ooops, something broke.
Anyway, short version of a previously long post:
Sorry for not voting before
I just downloaded this to look at crowley hill which i did vote on. I haven't checked the HAK too much because my PW uses (will use) another approach to hills, but from what I've seen, i'll rate it. Hope i'm objective enough. _________________________ Shadows and Silver

>>> I feel the same way about my recent update of Hills and Homes, for 1.68 compatibility. (Which I did as a request, incidentally. _________________________ Shadows and Silver
Been away for a bit, since I had to get a new mouse and a RAM chip upgrade but I'm back for the moment, so hello!
Entropicus, have a look at CCR&BEXv5.
It has every Rural addition combined, as well as a host of other goodies... it's a tileset compilation I created which uses both CCS and this version (although edited a bit) of Hills and Homes. Both couldn't be used together however, but the good news is that in CCR&BEXv5 is that I've got the CCS + DOA Rural combo which lets you use the CCS with a version of Hills and Homes that is inherent to DOA. So, that is probably more of what you are looking for. As far as the Tropical set goes, I have so far been unable to get it's rules to accomodate Hills and Homes so for me at least it would be impossible at this time to merge them together. Graymaster, I have experienced serious problems when adding hills to Forest, so I usually don't attempt merging the two. Everything that I could add into the Forest, you'll find in CCR&BEXv5 including some interesting features of use to those who are tired of adding placeable tree canopies in their areas(special thanks to DLA and others). Lastly... this pack, and the Community Skybox Pack (CSP) v1.0 are to be among my very last Hak Paks for Nwn1 for the foreseeable future. This is because of a massive module project I am involved in, the goal of which is to bring the world of a post-Ascension Ultima to a Nwn1 single-player module experience. (So far, the game world looks utterly beautiful too, and features multiple starting locations, a reagent system, moongate system, and a rich story full of intrigue and action. While it's a long ways from finished, it will be a fantastic module when it is.) At any rate, that's it for now. I'll poke in periodically to see how these Hak Paks are doing. Thanks for the votes, all! I was starting to think no one liked this, or the CSP *winks*. - Cheers!

Great work! Would love to see it expanded to include the Bioware Forest, but can understand the the tree would be a pain.

This opinion have nothing to deal with a quality of this item. Its an 8 because of this fact that after all its only a compilation of already existing models. However I do not wish to imply that this make it in any aspect less valuable for community. After all I think that its very important to keep content up to date and its good that there are some persons on vault which choose to keep content in a ready to use condition instead of creating new.
Moreover this kind of tilesets in my opinion are great deal for mod builders. Using it allow to made better looking areas and thin size of it (which is an advantage too) guarantees that inside is included only that content which you wish to use.
Requests:
I think that it would be cool if you would make it to work also with this BioWare tropic isle tileset incorporated to CEP .
Other request:
You seemed to be pretty familiar with compiling a tilesets. Could you make a little AddOnn working with CCS? (Not necessarily as part of this tileset but it wouldn't be bad if so.) There is a raised stone bridge model in that tileset that can work with standard rural tileset, but is not accessible by default. I think that it would be a great contribution if not for many then at least for me...
Good to see by the downloads that some folks have found this a useful update! Just don't forget to cast your vote to show your appreciation... votes let us know that you like our work, and they help to keep alive the spirit that has made this game, and it's community, so strong even after all these years. ; Thanks for your patience. - Big Cheers!
This hak is not compatible with the CCR&BEX compilation hak paks, largely because they aleady contain their own version of Hills and Homes, with the sole exception that I wasn't able to include the desert aspects of hills and homes in that set. This Hak Pak is for those who might want just the *full* Hills and Homes by itself for use in their modules, prefabs, etc. I released this *primarily*, because of the fact that the previous version of Hills and Homes was never updated. I hope this helps clarify things better as regards this stand-alone release. Farewell for now!
Thanks for noticing that, Entropicus, I must have forgotten to specify the category when I uploaded! I fixed it and now it's under Tilesets where it belongs.

Great. However it supposed to be in tileset category. I guess.
