This hak contains 36 new shurikens and a baseitems 2da file to extend the toolset range. The 2da file used is NWN standard version from upgrade 1.69 with the "MaxRange" column for shuriken changed from 50 to 250.
Before going any further in describing the contents of this hak, we must pause and give special credit to The Amethyst Dragon's Improved Shuriken (Link) hak. He has graciously given us permission to include some of the
models, textures, and icons from that hak in this post. Thanks, that has allowed us to fix the issue of some of the models appearing as squares instead of ohhhh... weapons. His work also showed us how to have the models reflect the colors of the icons.
Now back to the regularly scheduled description.
Information on the icons:
- Icon numbers 1-4, 2-4, 3-4, and 4-4 were found in a bif dive of the Bioware content. The corresponding icons #-5 through #-8 were made by
recoloring original Bioware icons.
- Icon numbers 5 and 6 are all The Amethyst Dragon's work with the exception of the purple icons which were generated using his icons.
- All the icons have transparent backgrounds.
Information on the models:
- The model files for 1, 3, and 4 are standard Bioware models edited to include the new texture files.
- The model files for 2, 5 and 6 are all The Amethyst Dragon's work.
Information on the texture files:
- The textures for 4, 5, 6, and 8 are all The Amethyst Dragon's work.
- The texture for 7 was generated from The Amethyst Dragon's work.
v1b versus v90b note: The icons for models 5 and 6 have changed in v1b to use The Amethyst Dragon's shuriken.
v1b fixes the issue of some of the models showing up as squares as well as adding the icon coloring to the models. This hak version is considered to be our final version.
CEP v2.4 Users: The v90b icons in this hak are included in v2.4. The model files #-4 through #-8 show up as bags.
