Originally created for the PW Avlis these are 98 custom inventory icons. Except 28 of them they were all done from scratch. Most of them are herbal ingredients and bottles. Have fun.

Great job. I especially like the fact that you stuck with the 'feel' of NW. :)"Back in the box, ye wild 2da little beasties!"
"I try so hard to behave like a lady but hopping up on stools in fear of rodents, fainting at the sight of blood or giving in to other such silly, advantageous behavior is not my first priority."

The bioware based item icons are provided without any license as is and are clearly documented as derived content with the copyright of Bioware.
If you have a look around there are several custom content files that provide content that was originally bioware content but modified. I did this with placeables back in 2002 and bioware never had an issue with this...
But you are right. It would be tremendously helpful if there is some official statement from Bioware towards derived content that remains within the NWN community.
Since i did the modified icons i would be glad to hear from someone about that issue... i will write Bioware an email the next days about it, when i find time.
But I'm wondering about copyright issues when taking icons which are exclusively HotU (like the barrel and the ingots), modifying them and placing them publicly accessible?
Same goes with other work thats based on material available in HotU, but the resulting work not requiring HotU any longer?

I am using the graphire2 tablet.
I'd love to have the next bigger version, but the prices soon get incredible high for every squareinch you gain. the active panel of the graphire2 is about the size of a postcard and most of the time im quite content with that.

These are really nice. Most other icons I found on the vault - even good looking ones - really do not fit in with the style of the Bioware icons.
If you ever get bored, I'd love to see you do some rings, amulet, gloves, cloaks and bracers as well.
Also, what wacom tablet are you using exactly? Always considered getting one, so it wouldn't hurt to get your feedback on the one you have.
Thanks a lot for the encouraging feedback. Maybe i will plug the wacom and do some more.
Painting icons that fit with the original ones isnt easy and very timeconsuming (one hour minimum per icon). The more rewarding it is to hear the community likes and uses them.

I must agree with the sentiment that they fit in very well with the normal icons. It's disturbing in mods that use custom graphics to open your inventory and see huge, pixelated icons made from photos.. or drawn in MS Paint. It's great how the small things can make a difference in modules.

Inventory icons are a frequently overlooked area of the game... these are among the best.

3,234,328x better than those +blocked+ gem and ring ones in the CEP! These have the same look and feel of the original NWN icons. God bless your soul for making them =)
