Greetings one and all! Ninjaweasel Man here. I�m proud to present to you the product of my hard work � the intimate animations suite. I�ve been a longtime player of NWN1 and have been impressed by many of the custom content developers in the community. I have noticed, however, that there are far fewer animators in our community compared to modelers, texture/skinning artists and, builders, writers and scripters. Being somewhat of an animator myself, I�ve decided to take inspiration from the likes of Vaei and Ragnarok_mr4 and develop my own set of animations for the game.

If a recent survey of the vault is accurate, many of the gamers who download and play modules have come to enjoy modules such as �A Dance with Rogues�, and �Sex and the Single Adventuress� � both achieving HoF status rather quickly. I myself have enjoyed both mods as well as countless others that treat certain taboos with either style, edge or a combination of both.

Now, I know that many people would rather not be treated to a graphic rendition of sex - be it an act of lovemaking or something of the less-consensual variety. There are, however, those who think otherwise. Personally, I feel that certain mods would have been better off if they had access to proper animations for this situation. It is for those mods, their authors, and their fans that I have decided to develop and release this animation suite.

If you are in any way offended by graphic representations of the sexual act (even in a cartoony, low-poly sort of way), or if possession/viewing of such material is illegal in your situation, please stop right now. Close this page and go browse the other fantastic material in the vault.

This archive contains the core .hak and custom .tlk file needed to use the Intimate Animations Suite.

There was a bug discovered that made halforcs, dwarves and gnomes lose their animations when switched to phenotype #9. This has been corrected in this version. Please re-download the file if you have grabbed it before September 11, 2007.

You need to make sure that if you alter the filename of an .mdl file and its corresponding .plt file, you should also change any references within the .mdl file that point to the old .plt filename so that it uses the new .plt filename. IIRC weasel left his .mdl files in ASCII format so that you can use a standard text editor (textpad, not wordpad) to make the edits needed. Personally though - I wouldn't even bother with .plt and .mdl edits. Just create a piece of clothing called "underwear" and give it one of the other loincloth models and you should be good to go. I'm really of the mind that if you're not wearing anything then you should look the part, hehe. This is just my opinion though. Happy modding! _________________________ Lead Animator, DLA

So, i changed it and it apparently works! I used the command "SetPhenoType(9,GetPCSpeaker())" and it worked fine. I was using "SetPhenoType(PHENOTYPE_CUSTOM_9),GetPCSpeaker())", which didnt work. But I also have another problem... I'd only like for the characters to be seen naked when they are actually doing the deed. Otherwise, they should be in their 'underwear'. I tried changing the .mdls and .plts to "pmh9_002" or something along those lines, instead of the generic "pmh0_002" to be seen only when the characters have pheno 9, so that it doesnt override the basic 'characters without armor on' appearance. A man walking around with his sword unsheathed isn't exactly normal... When I change the .plts and .mdls, the character models look shiny and textureless, similar to robots. Is there a way that I can prevent this from happening?

RyanC08, The toolset has always been buggy when it comes to rendering phenotypes properly. Even ACPv4 suffers from this toolset issue sometimes even though the animations work flawlessly during play. I find it best to simply switch phenotypes using scripts from within the module instead of using the toolset. There really is no visual difference between the phenotype #0 and phenotype #9 models in the toolset. The key difference between them is the animations - and those are only visible during play. Note: At the bottom of the description section on this page there is a link to Weasel's website, where you can find a demo module that illustrates a working all-script implementation of this suite. P.S. In your post, you stated: "I just created a new module, imported your hak, and added the .tlk file." Just to clarify, the Intimate Animations Suite is NinjaweaselMan's creation, not mine. Yeah... I'm sorry. I was hoping I was sounding descriptive as I could be. I usually test the haks before I import them into my module. I just created a new module, imported your hak, and added the .tlk file. The male model works perfectly. When I change the female to phenotype #9, I get an error message in the toolset, and her "appearance" disappears and she becomes invisible. Perhaps next time I will send you the module, so you can diagnose whats going wrong...

Hi Ryan, Weasel's kind of busy with RL work right now, so he asked me to try and help you out with your problem. It seems to me that you may have another hak or override that conflicts with the intimate anims suite. However, without more information I can't really trace exactly where the problem lies. What I can tell you is that the intimate anims suite uses phenotype #9. IIRC it does not use phenotype #3 (which is reserved for Bioware's mounted phenotype) What module are you playing these animations with? Could you perhaps post your hak sequence? Perhaps you could try giving the intimate anims haks top priority in your module and see if that clears up the issues. Hi, Ninjaweasel. I'm Ryan, a fellow module builder. I just had a question about this hak... It appears there is something wrong with the phenotype. I have the characters spawn in playing the animation. The male works fine. He makes a 'hand motion' (idk if it's waving or saluting) and gets to business. The female does the same hand motion, but she freezes, like she's under the effects of a time stop spell. When I click on the ground, she moves like normal. I think it has something to do with the phenotype. On the male, both pheno #3 and #9 say Intimate. I have the male set on 9, like it says in the readme. He plays the animation correctly. When I try setting my female on #9, it says ERROR, and her character model disappears. When I set her on pheno #3, (which says intimate) she appears normally. Upon playing the game when my characters are going to perform the act, the female appears to jump (or even fly) to some random location. When i click on the ground for her to move, she appears to be riding a horse. I have NWN 1.69, with the horses, so I think maybe its a conflict of versions? I'd really appreciate any help you'd have...

Nicoli319197, I don't have NWN1 for Mac, so I have no idea what differentiates a .hak that works with the PC version with one that is compatible with the Mac version of the game. Surely it's not the .rar compression because we can open .rar files on the Mac in the studio just fine. If you can point out just how to make this work with the Mac version then I think I can accommodate your needs. _________________________ Weasel
