New in version 1.1:
-I've added another robe, the hooded one. But it didn't come out as good as I wanted to, see readme.
-Tweaked a little the texture and icon of the first robe.
I've always liked the dustman models from the CODI resource pack, so I decided to make a robe out of one of them.
All races and all phenotypes are covered.
Also the hak is meant to be compatible with the robepak relased by CODI some time ago (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Hakpaks.Detail&id=501), the robe id is 30 in the parts_robe.2da
And, as a last note, this is my very firt hak, so is likely that I've overlooked some issues...
Keltic_Oryantal:
good idea... I guess I can make an alternate version with a generic face under the hood for each race... but it'll take some time to remodel all those faces... I'll see if I can include it in the next update...
Thanks,
Drzaius

Before I go stalking the other haks, I've got one thing to add that I mulled over last night. It states in your read-me with your latest robe that you had a difficult time with the hood, since you wanted a standard male/female face set inside to minimize clipping. What about having us set our avatar heads to 000 so that the only thing that appears is the face inheret in the hood? Of course, there would be no animations and you wouldn't have a lot of options with heads, but since we're talking about clipping...
I'm not a modeler by any means, so this is just an idea. Thought I'd throw it out there.

Aw, you're welcome.
Fixing? Nah, its fine. I'm sure most of us put in our own AC numbers anyway. :P I just appreciate the work you put into cutting and splicing to make the clothing actually work. That takes practice and a great deal of banging your head against the keyboard. Well, at least on my end.

Thank you Keltic_Oryantal! I'll try to fix the pack as soon as possible.

Correction: From what I understand, AC BONUS for clothing (in regards to chest, feet hands, biceps, forearms, neck, shins, thighs and shoulders)only applies to the chest for AC purposes. Appearance-wise, things like plate-mail biceps, for example, will probably have a 5.00 or higher but this will have no reflection on the creature who wears it. You could basically run around in full plate with a cloth chest and have no AC whatsoever. :P

For Dr. Zaius on why his robes are listed first in the toolset:
In the robe 2da (and any 2da involving clothing) There is something called AC BONUS. It's the third line from left to right and you'll usually see numbers that run between 0.00 to 10.00 and so on. Since your robes are listed at 0.00 and Codi Robes are obviously listed higher, yours will appear first in the toolset.
From what I understand, AC BONUS for clothing (in regards to chest, feet hands, biceps, forearms, neck, shins, thighs and shoulders)only applies to the chest. So you could raise/
lower the AC BONUS on your robes without adding/subtracting armor class to clothing.
I posted this here for others that might not understand. If I've stated something wrong, please correct me. This is just theory so far from a few experiments I've done in the toolset. ;)

I've updated the pack, now there is a second robe, you can see it in the new screenshot. As I mentioned in the readme, there is a lot of clipping with this one because of some limitations of the NWN engine... I've tried my best to avoid as much clipping as possible by making the hood large enought to accomodate at least one of the stock heads for each race, but with some races(like the halfling) this can't be done whithout deforming it too much... so take this robe as a sort of an experiment.
I'cant give a precise eta... at the moment I'm working on the hooded robe model... all the "slim" phenotypes are done and I've just started the "fat" ones... (however there are some clipping issues that I can't fix as they are related to an engine bug with the "head" bone.)
After finishing the hooded model I'll update the pack and then I'll start working on the third robe (the lighter one).
Stay Tuned :)

Nice work - and that comes from one with a life-long fear of nuns! This being your 'very firt hak' makes it even more impressive. (Sorry, but couldn't help chide you about the typo.) I agree with others that seeing more along these lines from you would greatly benefit the Vault. Best of luck.

For being your first release... I must say that I do enjoy these robes immensely... creating the other robes would be nice as well, the cowl thing would have to become a robe of some sort I would think, that way it can turn independantly of the robes... but I love this, and can say nothing more but... keep these coming!!
If you want to some ideas on what else can be either armorized or roberized... I have some ideas for things that I am sure the community would enjoy seeing as PC parts off of NPC's in the game, simply let me know... (and yes, IF I had half the talent creating custom stuff as you all, I would be hard at work, plugging away.. but my talents lay in other directions sadly... )
great idea =)
I noticed that other Codi guy.. the cowel on him is messed up when he turns his head the cowel doesn't move so watch for that lol
Thanks man

I'm guessing DrZaius used the heavier Codi Dustyman 3. I would *love* to see the other Dustman robes in action, especially the cowled mantle as a seperate cloak to go over the robe...I'll stop while I'm ahead.

Hi,
Nice work on reshaping the Dustmen's garb in something the players can use!
It's a pity the robe is so "heavy" though, it makes it slightly difficult to make out the female version's curves, as a consequence both the versions have the same "look". However, I doubt it's worth the time and effort to adjust this.
Thank you guys for the very good feedback!
But remeber that the model and textures are from the CODI team... so if it looks good it's their merit! What I did was to get the model through the tedios process of "roberization"... :)

The robes are fine, like them much. Wondering how will be your experienced work in the future, when your "first hak" looks like that?

Fantastic! It's always great to see more robes. Casters need variety too! ;o)

I played around with this last night [I was your first download ;)], and it looks fantastic! As for the clipping you mention, I don't see any other than if you try to wear something on your head. The only way around that would be to take that collar off? Anyway, thanks for doing what CODI never got around to doing. A superb addition!
