Okay, I'm sorry it took me so long to update to V3.0, but next to having problems with my internet connection I've been quite busy with hak packs, scripts, modules and artwork for our PW ;)
Some weaks ago even I figured out where to look for the highres textures (:oD), so I decided to at last revisit my children heads.
There are quite some changes (fe no gnome versions anymore, no non-tatoo versions to save some space,...) and I added three reskins of kazunens heads. Also fixed some missing / wrong lines within the .mdl files.
There will definitely be some V4.0, for our modeller's already working on more hair styles =)
Notes:
1) Take a look at Lisa's clothing haks, for there are 2 halfling torso models especially made for the girls, with which they are not that overly well built at their age anymore :oP
2) They are available in both phenotypes, although IMHO they are no longer looking like children in pheno2 :oP
3) Again freckles are tatoo1, eye color tatoo2
4) And one more time: They are far from beeing perfect. They use the bodies of grown halflings, so not every outfit will make them look like children. There's nothing I could do about that as long as I don't want to create some completely new race just for those children... :oP
5) You can't choose those heads at character creation (wouldn't make any sense - you'll want to play with race human or elven, not halfling), so you'll have to use Leto to change your appearance (not race!) to hafling after character creation and choose the number of the head you want... 6) More details in the readme ;)

These heads are really cute, and it was a fantastic idea back in the days!

legolas733 - voting 1.5 was hardly a great way to show your appreciation of the content... Associate the .hak with your module and it should be good to go. (If you're not happy with the format it came in, put it in your own hak, using the utility that comes with NWN.) _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

Wonderful! I love all the heads for girls. If you ever update, another boy head would be nice. :-) I will use these in my upcoming mod, unless you have any objections. _________________________ Time Becomes a Loop - short, story-driven time travel mod!
Could you maybe package the heads seprately in another hak? That way those of us who play on Server Vault PW's can just use the halfling or gnome body with these heads. I know it would not be perfect, but it is as close as we can get. My character had a son on one of the PW's and all the male halfling heads really do not look right.

A much needed contribution. Thanks!

AHHH! Thank you! I saw the children hak before, but it was back when the little girls had breasts (and being a mother of a young child, myself, it was just too freakish for words LoL).
This looks so much better, though. And it was so badly needed by the community. I mean, what is a village without children in it? (Unless it's a village of androids, who don't need to procreate.... Erm, yeah.) Though it's really very strange to have to use the same child model over and over again.
So thank you for giving us customizable child models! Woot!

I really like this. It makes the kids so much more realistic than having all kids wearing the same thing. I have one Idea to add though. My guess would be that teens would be more the size of elves. Do you think it possible to fit a kid head on an elf body?

I have worked in skinny phenotype models for a few days... They don't move as old people, but I think its already an improvement. It currently have 1Mb and I think it will have 2Mb when finished.

@Lost Dragon: I know, it's not the same with just another head (that's why I'ld try it on elven bodies to at least make them smaller and thinner), but that's all I can do :o/
It's the same problem we have with those children, we'ld need a completely new race, and not only would that be lots and lots of work, but also we'ld need large haks to include every outfit out there.
Only thing I could think of besides just taking the head (and at least with women that works well - although on the standard human body, Lisa's old women just look fine... not as old as the "old woman", but still old enough), would be making a new race but with just a few outfits. In this case I wouldn't advice to let players take that race, but they would do fine for NPCs.
I'll give it a try in the next few days, but for more than a few outfits you'll have to ask someone else (Lisa? *g*), 'cause I don't know anything about gmax... ;)
@Lisa: Our modeller AViCo's working on heads at the moment, and hopefully on some boys, too... ^_^
I'll remove the freckles an put up a hak with just the textures later. Sorry, I thought we'ld make without those, for right now I'm trying to make our haks as small as possible ;)

Nath: The thing about the Bioware "old man" and "old woman" is that they walk all stooped over. It's more than just an old person's head on a regular body..
Thanks,

I decided to remove your old verion child heads from my hak (along with the old numbers) and just go with your new hak heads and new numbers. I really like the three new girls heads, too bad there weren't a few new boys too.
On a side note: I'm not a fan of freckles but these are much better done than your old freckles by far. Still with some skin tones it is impossible to get rid of them though, as no tattoo blends. I'll use them as is for now but if you already have textures for the non-freckles, could you post them in a seperate hak for those who might prefer them?
Thanks again.

Wheee, sorry for the renumbering problems, Lisa =_=
It's just that currently I'm trying to get some sort of system into Alva's haks ;)
@Lost Dragon: Hm, there are 2 old women in Lisa's hak, but I'll take a look at the old man... maybe one could use the elven body with Bio's head... hm, yes, think thats at least worth a try ;)
Posted by Lost Dragon ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-24 11:56:00
Woo-hoo!
Excellent work! I don't suppose you'd make your next project making the old man and the old woman customizable? :D

They look great, the only thing I hate about the children haks is they tend to put little midget clothes in the mix with the normal stuff.. and I kind of well.. hate that.

I think it is really, really a good idea ! (I wanted to put children in my mod, but they are all the same...) so, thank you.
