These files are required to play the Vis et Virtus series. Note that these files are used for all chapters of VeV, so there is no need to redownload them for each part. Once you've downloaded them, you're set for the entire series. We hope you enjoy Vis et Virtus!

This is the most up to date version of the VeV_Update.hak. This zip also includes an updated TLK file. Please replace the TLK file from the VeV_Files.zip with this file for the most up to date in game text.
Since the website has had a lot of downtime lately due to the server, I've decided to use a different host. The new Vis et Virtus website can be found at the link above.
In the VeV_Files.zip there is a file called vim.tlk. You need to place that in a folder in your Neverwinter Nights folder called TLK. That should resolve the tlk issue.
I have downloaded the required base paks and all modules but when I try to load the prologue , the game tells me I am missing the required custom talk table. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Not a problem -- thanks for your quick response. I was hoping to play some this weekend, but given the snail's pace at which this site's admin usually respond, that's likely not going to happen. Not your fault and I am looking forward to playing the series later this week.
Ah, it seems you are correct that there are two copies of the haks posted here. I uploaded them via FTP, so they must have replaced the wrong files. I'll immediately upload the replacement files and contact the NWVault folks, but it may take a few hours before they notice the files and update the page.
It seems some file(s) are missing from this page. For a first time installer of the modules, the relevant file seems to be VeV_Haks.zip (which has been uploaded twice here, for some reason -- may be in place of another file?). In particular, I couldn't find any music, tlk or bic files.
Before all, thanks for VeV. It's an outstanding game, and I can't imagine the huge amount of work, human power and time that you've invested in this to gift us with it. This is definitely one of the best custom games for NWN that I've ever seen.
I have played it before and this update seems interesting, maybe it's time to play it again. Excessively long walks were one of the bad things, along with a few bugs, but most of them were not showstoppers.
Downloading now, I can't wait to try VeV again, I am a big fan of the company of the claw, by the way. They are the funniest NPCs I've ever seen in NWN :D

I will try again on the corrupt folders and hope they come across. Please check my list and let me know if I'm missing any files, or folders? I think pretty much the Chapter and Prologue folders extracted clean, so I didn't list them here.

Usually a Zip folder is meant to hold more than one file, so you have at least 2 hak files per zip folder, that's 14 hak files!! Wow! That's a lot of work, the mod sounds good, so I'm holding on, download after download. haha! _________________________ Does this armor make my butt look big?
In order to simplify the installation of Vis et Virtus, I have decided to make the files available only in the zip format. I had thought that I was being helpful by offering the files in multiple formats because you could download the format of your choice. After hearing several complaints about the number of files and the installation being confusing, I realized that it would be best to instead choose one. I have opted for the zip format because it is accessible by more people than other compression formats.
If you were curious about the download counts of the formats I�ve removed, I�ve listed them below.
Please stick with one file format, either .zip or .rar, i downloaded all this files before i realized that they are duplicates. _________________________ Arkii
