A great tileset with a much needed theme, but it suffers from some of the issues that have allways plauged the sets based on this. Some of the buildings are simplistic, some of the walls are just TOO big and bulky, ect. Some ground vegatation to break up the sand would be great in a desert set as well, citys are usually built on the EDGES of deserts. But of all the tilesets reminisant of the MGSDesert (did I get that name right?), this is the best I've seen, hence the high score. _________________________ LeClaire

I like it, I use it!!!!
So PC, can I call you that, when are you going to finish that 1001 Nights Tile set (no Rush)? _________________________ Death and taxes.
I've tested this, and while I do like the tileset, it overwrites a fair few of the new door appearances in the latest patch, due to having a .2da it doesn't need
Its a bloody annoying glitch that's bad enough to make me not use the tileset, despite how much I do like it :/

Is this tileset compatible with version 1.69 and CEP 2.1?

This is a perfect tileset for modules set during the Crusades, or in similar settings. It looks good, runs great, and has just the right "feel" to it.

As, I fear, is too often the case these days, it seems I forgot to vote earlier. Mea culpa.
Very nice and, important, very versatile. Always enjoy your work; always pleased to see more made available.
Good luck.

Hm... has no one else noticed that the green/yellow (I'm colourblind) tile box thing (that's the technical term!) visible when painting terrain is invisible (i.e, below the level of the terrain) on this tileset? In my limited experience of tilesets, this seems to be caused when a .set file is saved in Jlen's Set Editor tool (a known bug, I think).
Unless there are other/various causes... but the issue is definitely there, and I didn't modify your .set file at all before trying the tileset out. It's a real hindrance when building.
The actual textures are fantastic, though, and I'd vote 10 without hesitation if I thought the above issue might be fixed/worked around in an update.

Very good work. It looks really brilliant! I'd love to see it included in CEP 2.1. _________________________ .:Untold Tales of Tolkien II::Website::Forum:.

Unlikely, dear, as 7Zip is what I use for all my compression these days. (It's so darn good!) Anyway, it looks like I will just have to be content not to get this update. Or maybe I should change my AV... _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

Um, just downloaded the update - but my anti-virus software detected a trojan in your .exe and quarantined it. You might want to give your system a deep scan. Posting this as a warning to other users as well. _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset
actually... the medieval-style architecture is -exactly- what he intended it to be, if you read into his earlier posts / replies, he specifically states that this is intended to be similar to the "Crusades" type of setting, where medieval buildings -were- built in desert settings... and on that note, he delivers it rather well IMHO :o)

Greetings from the Ishtara Gnoll Clan,
Many thanks, PC Maniac, for a nice new Tileset in which we can hunt prey, wage war, thump anyone we don't like the look of and generally make a nuisance of ourselves... Gnoll are like that...
The somewhat 'European' look of many of the buildings in this Tileset seems to have been a small bone of contention for some and whilst I agree that some of the textures are not as 'deserty' as they might be, personally I like that. BioWare's Desert Tileset and MGSkaggs Desert City have most desert themed needs covered with a little assistance from custom placeables. This Tileset therefore serves to add to what can be done, for example, a town cruelly shifted from a comfortable rural setting to the midst of a trackless desert for nefarious purposes by some Obvious Twisted Sinister Fiend... For certain storylines, the 'conflict' of textures here could be very useful. I'm all in favour of new and different Tilesets.
Aesthetics apart, the textures in this Tileset are excellent, nice and sharp, and the assorted elements should give the imaginative module builder plenty to play with. Another useful addition to the worlds of NWN.
PS:- Maniac, I look forward to seeing a fully completed version of 1001 A.N - It's looking good. Keep up the good work!
