From the original listing by Gaoneng:
Alternative Door Forms is a collection of 10 all-new generic doors, each with unique animations and unique construction. As with many of my other projects, this is small only because I did not use any custom textures, so do not be fooled by the size of the download.
Some of these doors are inspired by real-life models, others are results of tea-leaf readings and lunar eclipses. There isn't a particular theme, but this collection of doors probably fits like a glove into any creative setting. If you're looking for alternatives to the bunch of single-slab single-pivot doors in the toolset, you probably will find a few in here you can use.
Briefly, the models are :-
* collapsible antique lift
* centre-part dark oak
* mechanical stone
* organic mimosa
* elven lantern
* foldable frames
* swivel drow crystal
* beholder stone portal
* sliding rotating metal barrel
* double panel pressure chamber
As you can see, these names aren't really all that informative :p , they are just "codenames" I use privately to refer to the individual models. So just check out the screenshots and demonstration module to get an idea of how they actually look like.
Where applicable, these doors are double hinged so the geometries do not clip into walls whichever way they open. Most players probably won't notice the double hinge - because it's so natural - but a lot of people do notice clippings - e.g. me ^_^ - and this tiny detail makes the doors somewhat more realistic and believable. Take your time to explore the demonstration module and experience the doors at close-up and from afar, and you may come to appreciate this and other subtleties. :)
Some of these doors work without the expansions, but the rest draw textures from HotU and SoU, and for full access to all the available content in Alternative Door Forms, it is recommended that you have both expansions installed.
It's been a while since I published anything. I made these doors very long ago, but I never got around to uploading them for various reasons. They are thoroughly tested and properly modeled nevertheless, and I'm pleased to get these doors into public hands finally.

Thought I'd voted again, and hadn't (as usual). These are very nicely made, and fill a lot of gaps (pun not intended) in the standard selection of generic doors.

Yay! and I apologize for what sounded like a really bitchy comment. I just am exausted to see what was SO good for SO long come to screeching halts because of ...well...we all know what.
thanks for 'clearing' me up and saving me hours of torture re-doing my mod over..
Um Worms... please do not lump me in with those people. We closed a few sites over Xmas when the Vault was used by some unscrupulous folks to post racial abuse etc towards us and Maximus wasn't around to deal with it. _________________________ Trials of Newcastle - a Role Playing Persistent World for NWN 1

wonderful, another author that decided to pull his work...
I really think this authorship is crap...sorry if I am bitchin, but I have used these models in my own modules and credited the author, linked to his page for the .hak and now...I guess I have to respect the authors wishes and remove every friggin door and transition (over 800+) just so I can post it to the vault for others to enjoy...but I really don't want to do all that UNECESSARY work...so I guess this is one module that will never be released except to the few people that live near me that I can give the hak file to.
if I had only know that this was going to happen I would have never ventured into module design...
i feel sorry for any other module builders that invested time in this in good faith...
*I must state that I AM NOT GRIPING about the authors wish to remove his content (he has every right to if he so chooses), only the fact of all the snowballing crap that it has caused.I personally would have at least kept the files here and just not updated nor supported them anymore.

Thanks for making these. I just had to download it for the new server I am playing on (Transpiria). I love how they look, and its good to see people helping make Transpiria better. It is already way better than Aerth.
