DLA presents the Dynamic Quivers by NexusJnr and Astorax. The dynamic quiver is a small hak together with 2 scripts which are added to the on_equip/un_equip event handlers. With both installed, your character will have a quiver added automatically in game whenever arros are placed in the inventory slot. Textured in .plt, the quivers automatically take on the style and appearance of your current neck armor so that you are always stylish :D
The dynamic quivers work using the neck part and, as such, will conflict with most community PC cloak systems.

I actually like this one more than The Ameythyst Dragon's VFX quivers. I am hoping this comes as an override version as well. _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

This is a very nice little addition that can add lots of flavor. What self-respecting archer carries arrows in his or her backpack, anyway?
Sure, it's got the "changing armor in combat" issue, but it's still something very, very nice to have to work with. The bandit archers in my PW will soon be replacing their little quivers with full-sized ones. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)

I love the concept, and it looks great.
However, me being me, I found a nasty little bug almost immediately. I was all excited and dl'd the hak and installed it into the cepv21_starter.mod to see if it would work with cep and 1.69...
Anyway, I was ambushed by a couple troll kings and decided to switch from 'regular' arrows to 'fire' arrows for max effectiveness. During the swap, the 'quiver' goes from having arrows, to not having arrows (quiver disappears), to having arrows again (quiver reappears). Unfortunately for me, the bug arose during this swap-out when the quiver is apparently trying to match the color of the quiver to the color of my armor. The end result was that it removed me armor and of course I was unable to put it back on ...because I was in combat! eek!
Perhaps I will see if I can find a solution on my own, because like I said... I love the concept and it looks great!

Excelent work!! A simple, easy2use implementation of a very cool feature.
I'm not sure anyone checks this page anymore, but I wanted to ask if this hak works with the new 1.68 cloaks (which, as far as I understand, are not neck-based).
Will the cloak cover the quiver animation, and the quiver will not be seen??

This is a great hak. Small, fashionable (I love the auto-color matching), and something that applies to a lot of adventurers. Thanks a lot!

Excellent work. Thank you! If any future development is done on this, would be nice to see two versions of each quiver "neck" part - one that follows the PLT color selections and one that is a fixed TGA/DDS textured model that is just a standard leather quiver with wood and feather arrows. _________________________ [More TNO Placeables][Community Music Pack][More Doors][My Other Custom Content]

How on earth did this get 3000 downloads and only 5 votes?
I actually modified the quiver hak to work together with CEP capes. We use it on our own home server and have not seen any issues so far. Not sure if I'd be allowed to post it on here though since DLA Quivers are "not my creation" :) But if DLA Team gives the OK I gladly will.

Well, it's looking great. But... the neck scale... if there is no mistake, the helmet model is scaling, depends who (race) wear the helmet... it is possibly to make this in this little thing?

This is a wonderful hak. It really makes things look great in the game. Though it doesnt work well with the cloak haks. They fight quite a bit. Was wondering if quiver could be moved to the belt instead of the neck.

the idea is really good but.... there are a lot of unneeded textures (you only need 2, pfh0 and pmh0), texture color for the neck is too dark and women have a huge neck.... _________________________

I seem to be getting a lot of dupes when using crafting skills to change armour appeareance while arrows are equipped.
This is really great though - It's cleared up in my mind how to alter armour appearances, now I can play around a lot. Thanks!

If wearing a quiver and robes when entering a world, it drops the equipped robe into inventory, and then equips the new robe with the neck/quiver on it.
eg, you get a free robe. Nasty little bug if you're running a low magic realm.

I have sent the DLA the fixes for armor copy on module load and take armor off if exchanging arrows.
:)
When you run out of arrows and you auto equip more, it takes off your armor and you cannot put it back on during combat.Dream Warriors Leader of 24 years, Faith, Loyalty, Honor, Truth and Friendship always....... _________________________ Dream Well, Faith, Loyalty, Truth, Honor, Friendship always.....

Looks great but is there some way you can use this in the official campaign? someway to put the stuff in the override folder and then by some weird command ingame attach the script to the character?
thanks - gasmask

Does anyone know how to go about fixing the duping of armor upon logging into a mod?
Posted by Paladin_of_Bob ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2004-01-08 05:30:00
This is something I've been recently thinking about. What if every time you put a bladed weapon in your inventory you gain a scabbard, bows & arrows make quivers, ect. Could this be manipulated from this file? Then it will shame the realism of biowares games! MWAHAHAHA!
I have the same problem with the armour being removed when the arrows run out, I have tried to make the changes Steel_Wind has mentioned, but not being much of a scripter (still learning) i'm having a few problems, anyone out there, have it sorted, can they show me please exactly where I make the changes.
It is a shame that the game can not support this properly.
The same engine that ignores changing boots, cloaks and belts does not allow for armor to be swapped when in combat - which is a fatal flaw unfortunately.
The moment the character runs out of ammo and auto-restocks with the next available bundle (or you switch ammo types), you're left standing naked and defenseless.
Still a valiant attempt given the limitations we face.
