DLA Presents 'the Treant' by DLA's Elryn. This hak pak features an all original creature with new textures in both .dds and .tga format. The model includes a complete set of original animations (including emotes). Hak contains new portraits and the Treant model makes use of 1.61+'s support of alpha transparency on creatures. Making full use of alphas, the model is highly detailed but comes in at 1409 polygons, well within limits for a Large creature encountered alone or in small groups. A user.tlk is included to directly support the new Monster soundset for the Treant in the archive. We have included a special placeable to take advantage of the Treant's natural camouflage. Builders can use these for spawn points. Lastly, a demo mod is included for you to view the model and quickly take in some of its basic animations. Model, Textures & Animations: Elryn Soundset: Mattymix and David John Portrait: Henry Martinez

yes, excellent model. Vives used this to great effect, and now I am incorporating it into a new mod of my own. _________________________ Vault Submissions | Arnheim | Beyond Vives

This is awesome. Most excellent work. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)

Self-Promotional Honesty: If you have opinions on stuff I've made, or if you use any of it (as a player or builder), I like comments/votes/feedback...so do other content makers and builders. Keep us motivated. :)
The .tlk in this file must be renamed (dla_treant.tlk to simply treant.tlk) to work with the demo module. The incorrectly named .tlk causes other problems (see comments below).
Please correct the file name and update the zip file so that others won't have similar problems in the future. Thanks.

Absolutely brilliant. I hope the CEP team adds this in an upcoming release... it's too good to pass up, if you ask me.
Any hopes of getting creature requests? Say, moogles, for instance? _________________________ When in doubt, use the bard as bait.

This work is stellar. I too would like any info on how to make it compatible with CEP. Please let me know!

He looks like he just strolled in from Fangorn. Quite possibly the best original creature model for NWN to date. _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.

Greetins to the DLA.
My humble apologies for not voting on your work previously, as i was a bit of a downloading "ho" in January and never bothered to comment or vote on anything. As a new PW builder, i started to give well deserved kudos to many content creators/compilers around February (i should have done it sooner,i know), but until recently forgot to comment on your great work. My opinions are always honest and constructive. With that said, the DLA Treant is one of the finest examples of custom creatures available on the NWvault. I will be using it in my world for sure.
I have spent much of my time looking for the best tilesets around for my world, and forgot about the other great contributions that i will be using. I guess i forgot some of the little things that are important.
@##$ forgot to vote on yer Sewer set too. **embarassment**
As a PW builder, i have no loyalties to anyone in particular, but i have loyalties to those who graciously submit their hard work to the community, for the benefit of us,the builders.... and the enjoyment of the players in our worlds. My thanks to the DLA team for your great contributions and making my world that much better.

The best creature model I've seen for NWN bar none. Before I saw this model, I had no intention of creating the creature pack I now have on the vault. The beauty of the model itself inspired me to find every high quality creature I could find on the vault, and actually learn how to edit the appearance 2da file.

El... Thanks for visiting the my page. I appreciate the comments, despite the rhetoric floating around at the moment. And please tell the rest of the content creators that they are tops in my list. I have never said anything negative about any DLA content. I hope you know that. When I left a comment thread on my page about why Steel_Wind rated my pak a 6, I had no clue he was part of DLA. I just assumed he was a 9 year just out to mess with me. I was suprised to hear back from Steel, and even more incredulous he admitted to voting on my hak to... well, you know the rest I'm sure. Bottom line.. I wish you and the rest of team all the best. If you spent 400hrs on the treant, then trust me when I say I know what's it like to be in your shoes. Just knowing I have to adjust the ambient / diffuse light nodes on 1850 tiles makes my skin crawl. NWN CC is better place because the DLA Team is here. And you will never hear me say otherwise =). Good luck again.

By far, the best artistic piece created for nwn. period.

Ok! Glad to hear it!
I was wondering: "How did they forgot such original content?" Got an answer for sure.
Okay so I will have to redo my 2da's when the CEP release you're beautiful creations in a future add-on...
I use both your Treants and Crystal Golems and find them very useful and greatly done.
Thanks for your time to write back.
Bye

Very complete work, but incompatible with the CEP exp pack... (.tlk table) I give it a 10 anyway! _________________________ - Où se cache le mal dans mon royaume?
