This small modification adds aseveral new single 'feature's to the default 'microset' tileset.
what it adds is several small wagon interiors (a few spaceship ones too!) that has a scrolling window view that when played in game gives a very real illusion of moving right along. (in my PW I have wagon travel and I just got sick of the insta-teleport that is usually associated with these travel systems)
its simple and I will probably update the models to look better, but for now its just a usable feature that I would be interested if anyone has a use for it for me to bother with updating it (its completely usable as is with no bugs - that I know of)
Also, if you like this and want a great travel system to go along with it. I urge you to check out JackTaylor's excellent 'Coach System'
just started using it on my own PW and I love the atmosphere it brings.

I went on to Arbor Falls and experienced it for myself. I havent used it in any of my mods. Havnet been on the server lately, been busy building for a new start up.
But I recommend to anyone to stop in and experience Abor Falls.
I found the coach experience fun and certainly unique. I must have rode around in it for 20 minutes or more before realizing I need to get off and play. _________________________ You may think you know, and you might, but your ignorance hides it.

One of the most immersive additions to NWN's i've ever seen. Perfect 10 out of 10.
@ Lord of Worms: I'd be interested in talking to you, if you could add me at [email protected] I would be grateful.

I really enjoyed jumping in game to get a feel for this. The scrolling views are fun, and I can see this being a great addition to a PW's travel system, as well as SP mods. Great work, thank you for sharing ;) _________________________ QSW -NWVault Reviewers Forum
Excellent idea here! I really love it! :-)
But I'm a bit worried about something.
I downloaded this a while back when it had a demo mod included, which had the actual coach where you stood or sat inside and got the great feel to how a coach system worked. (I could sit here for at least 20 mins watching the world outside the coach window go by and hear the travel sounds of the coach too)
But then sometime ago, my hard drive that I had this file on, broke down, and I had to buy a new one. Now I have unfortunately lost that great little demo mod I loved to play about in! :-( :-(
This time, it seems that the author " Lord_of_worms" only has the hak file included, and no demo mod. :-( :-(
What happened to that great little demo mod please? And if possible, could I have another one please too?
I shall come back again at some point to see if anything can be worked out here.
My regards,

Really nice addition to NWN... any chance of adding a door hook to the tiles to hang a door or a curtain from the door frame? _________________________ TNI01 Usable Beds || TNI02 Useable Beds || TWC03 Usable Beds

This is an interesting idea but I think it could benefit a great deal with a few improvements in implementation.
First of all I find it odd that the scrolling texture was placed on a globe instead of on flat panels outside the windows. This gives the scrolling background an odd look that frankly makes it a bit dizzying to look at.
Which leads me to the second detail I find odd about the way this was implemented. In my opinion there is simply no reason why each of the scrolling texture needs to placed on a seperate tile type on a tileset. It would make more sense to simply make panels with scrolling textures as placeables that can be placed outside the windows of wagon or ship tiles.
With the current implementation for example if you had 10 scrolling texture types and 5 different wagon styles, it would mean having to make 50 different tile types. By putting the scrolling textures on placeables instead, however, you would only need to have 10 different placeables and 5 different tile types. Plus some module makers might actually find more creative uses for the placeables such as placing them around the windows of house interiors to simulate the farm house in the Wizard of Oz being picked up by a tornado or in doorways to represent a portal to another place or perhaps some kind of elevator.

I gotta say of all the wonderful tiles this one fills a niche that has been sorely lacking!!!! Absolutely wonderful.

Very nice. It's a shame no one has followed suit and created ships out at sea. :( _________________________ -Jordan

Finally took the time to check these out both in the toolset and in-game. Incredible work on these. The scrolling is just a bit fast for my taste, but this is incredibly easy to work with and provides atmosphere you just can't get with a "standard interior pretending to be inside a carriage".

Very cool. Of course, I am constantly keeping tabs on Arbor Falls, dude. Your base has more or less become my base, with only my few meager things added, rather than the other way 'round. ;)
Just as a random thought, what would it be line to have the circles on edge (like wheels) on each side, rotating? Would that make it any different, I wonder? They'd have to be pretty big I guess, so the curve wasn't too noticeable? meh, just a wild thought passing through.. heh.
Thanks so much for everything.

the tiles all use 'animloop_1' for the rotations. so by just unchecking them the animation stops..I believe you can script this? i will look into it and post the code if I find it.
as for the front bubble terrain.
a few of the interiors have a 'front section' not completely the 'best' way..your idea of a static pic has some merit. will look into it. i was just thinking of expanding the whole size of it to a group..keeping the interior small but having the intersecting circles meet at a further point and providing an invisible wlkmesh in front. then you can do anything you want. have horses, mules, people..hehe, whtever pulling you along..am still kind of toying with it.

Nice update! The implementation of two bands, moving in opposite directions, really helps this thing look great. Now, when you look out either side window, the terrain is scrolling the same way. And with the various options, it's great too.
Now, for some thoughts: heh heh heh...
Is there a way to script the animation to stop? If not, could we get versions of each tile without the animation? Thus, one could simulate the coach at a stop.
Further, would it be possible to have another 'window' bubble facing the 'front'? This small opening would not need animation, just a bit of a horizon appropriate to the terrain. Also, if one could have a horse within that 'window' bubble, one could then place a driver NPC in the coach itself, and it might look pretty cool.
Just a few ideas here. I love what you have already done. Great work, and thanks for sharing, as always.

Hi lord of worms! :-)
I've just gotten around to trying this. I think it's good to have it in the microset, and the animation looks nice. However, I think it moves too fast for a real wagon! That's my only criticism. ;-) Would love to see winter landscape, ship cabin with the sea outside, and other adaptations. :-) _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

The concept is wonderful and can easily be placed in any tileset as needed.
I can see where different tga's could be used for rural, forest, desert, snow, ocean, etc ... day and night.
This is great stuff. My request would be to slow it down. On my computer, that coach is really hauling - more like a corvette then a horse-drawn coach :)
And I to would love to see one additional room option - one with round windows (portholes :)

I'll vote later after I've actually looked at it, but so far I'm loving the idea. I would also love it if the same concept were applied to a ship interior, and would probably come close to finishing half a module before never publishing it if such were available. My kids of course eat my brain. Even now . . . _________________________ Friends do not have to be like us.
