@ KenMajere: One of the planned experiments are high-poly heads (1000+ polys) with eyelid/eye child objects. They wouldn't be animatable seperately from the normal anims, but they should add some life to them.
The question will be whether the cost is too great to be worthwhile.
The dual-head idea has merit, but it clogs up the available head slots with an eye-closed version of each head, effectively halving the number of heads available.
Still, it's an avenue of research, innit? :-)

Perfect sense. I forget who the author was, but he made a model with two heads. One with the eyes closed and the other with them open. When I put the pics behind one another it gave the appearance of the eyes blinking. I wonder if this can be done for NWN1?

It's anything we can put together to encourage the creation of custom content :-)
The Reference Head project is aimed at setting up a set of bald, featureless heads to be modified ingame via scripting and VFX. Something like NwN Mr. Potatoheads. The player will be able to add VFX for hair style, facial hair, scars, tattoos, jewelry, even expressions. And change them.
The Templates are to help Makers create those VFX and will (soon, hopefully) have a decent tutorial for doing that.
The Deer Kit is a set of skinmeshed models and textures created by OldTimeRadio to let other Makers play around with making their own versions of deer.
Am I making any sense? (been a long day :-P )

(yes, I feel a little self-conscious about voting on this, but then, I just compiled the first offering. The content is from other people, my friends).
As this is such a wide-spectrum project, I am sure to miss things. Please feel encouraged to suggest either reference material (content to upload directly to this project) or links to content, tutorials and tools already found somewhere in the depths of the Vault. :-)
