thallionstellani created the hills, bodangly's desert and labteks winter. Just a use of the tileset duplicator by Labtek.. no real authoring claimed by me.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 2 that made this score of 6.50.

Tastes great, less filling and does what it says it does. Good Desert and Snow terrian.

This is great! Just what I needed! This will certainly be
included in the new module I am making (although that
blasted HAK is over 150 MB already)

Just looked at these tilesets and I have to say they are
great!
The desert certainly feels more natural with dunes.
Xanas please could you remove the grass from the desert
though. I believe its something to do with changing the
material type to dirt. That way dirt will kick up as the
player runs (like on roads in the rural tileset).
Thanks for this great hack Xanas!

Well, im not sure but this is a great hak, too bad it
doesen't work by default.
Do this:
1) make a snow area, messa round with the hills, then make
a desert area.
2) try to save your snow area *crash*

The easiest thing to do, go ahead and save a backup.. and
use biowares nwhak.exe so that you can get around the file
similarities. It will pop up warnings but you can just
say yes to those (I'm guessing whatever tool you are using
doesn't allow this?)
The *.set *.itp file actually needs to be replaced in your
original hak, so unless you want to edit those yourself
this is going to be the easiest way.. and I don't see a
reason to do that. Just back up first and use nwhak (or
if you want.. I use hakupdater for all this .. but you'll
need to follow directions probably for it's use)..

I am sorry, to be more clear, what I meant was, which
files are changed. When I try to combine, it the combine
tool it gets upset about duplicate files. So I have to
unselect the duplicate files so that only the added ones
go. This can be a pain.
Anyhow, thanks for the update of the sets.

You don't have to duplicate anything if you kept the
original extensions for labeks winter .8 version or the
desert tileset. They are already duplicated with the
correct names for those default extentions (ttlam for
desert and ttw01 for the winter tileset). So if you
didn't change them just add this to yours and you should
be fine. Back it up first to be sure.

Question, which files need duplicating? I have those sets
in my Hak already and it is a real pain to figure out which
files to add to a hak using the hak combine utility. If it
is only 12 or so files and I know which ones, it would be a
lot easier to combine them.
Thanks.
