I always thought that the dungeon tileset is the most boring tileset in NWN. It looks as if someone goes through there with a Hoover2000 everyday. I always wished I could correct this feel. So here is a real creapy dungeon, almost totally retextured ( sorry no tiles added, yet). It won`t replace any tileset. Try this with visual preset 'sewer' and push fog up. I believe it has a great feel to it. ... ah, and I`m taking orders what tiles I should add to this :-)... Enjoy, Velmar
Great Tileset but can someone maybe add water to it and maybe even the cave and mines tiles especially the caves and those stones that help walk over water areas ?
This is really a great tileset and some more content would be wonderful for it.Ja khaless zhah waela

Hey Velmar!
Don't know if you're still supporting this tileset or not, but I ran into an odd problem. If you set the area to Underground, then all of the doors in the door transitions vanish.
Apart from that, this remains my favorite of the dungeon tilesets. Perfect dungeon look and feel.

raffi,
Unzip the contents of the download into your NWN/hak directory. In a mod you want to use it with, go to Edit/Module Properties and click Custom Content. Select VelmarsDungeon from the pulldown menu and Add it to your mod. Then you should be good to go.
Kidd1a,
I'm using this fine with SoU/v1.30. Most tileset HAKs don't need updates unless they included custom .2da files for bundled loadscreens or doortypes. THis hak has neither, it's good to go.
Velmar,
Thanks for the HAK. It's the cleanest of several I ended up using for a new project. I've cut a lot of +blocked+ out from what I"m willing to use or gamble on an update for from the author.

Any chance that this may be updated to remove the flame emitters from the non-lava pools? Otherwise looks great, I can avoid using the "liquid" tiles for now.

gamark,
Get Adam Miller's Water Placeables... then you can make your own flooded areas any time that you would like. :)

Am I just too dumb to find it, or is this excellent tileset realy in none of the many tileset combos out there?
Posted by Hagakure ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-13 16:15:00
I tried to combine this tileset with Kthoris's Sewer City
but it didn't work, it asked for overwrites and the result
was some blank polys on the dungeon. Are they using some
files together, those two (or three)?
Otherwise thanks for the great job!

"h, and I`m taking orders what tiles I should add to this "
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a tileset with flooded areas
in them. You would probably have to make it just under the
halfling height but nevertheless.
FLOODED dunngeons i would love to see.

I dont think its an issue with Mozilla, I am using Mo and
having no issues with the majority of downloads I perform.
Same thing with WinRAR, excellent compression utility, much
more reliable then WinZIP. But... these are my opinions
only, and worth considerably less then the pixels im
annoying you with. ;)
This is an excellent dungeon reskin, im using it for
several dungeons im working on for a friend of mine to play
in. VERY good job.

Actually the problems with the .rar-file is that the web
server hosting this site does not recognize them as binary
files and instead applies the default MIME type - which is
text/plain.
Put blame where blame is due and mail the webmaster :-)

Oh my, the phrase with the hoover is just the right one :)
I havn´t test it but I will just in a few seconds! This is
great if you want to have a "clean dungeon" were people are
living but then there is the rumour of an old abondoned
part in it... Here takes your Dungeon part...
Thank you for that!

This is an exceptional tileset. I'm glad I didn't let
some of the detractors let me not download this thing.
Excellent work!

I'm having visions of Quake when I look at this. It's
awfully green, I guess too dang green for my taste. Flames
shooting out of dark gray lava doesn't look quite right
and the red glow on the walls really clashes with the
green floors. Other than that a nice effort. I just wish
someone would do a classic gray stone dungeon tileset.

I tried to make a dungeon with this tileset and it
wouldn't let me place door pictures. The error reads "
the selected model does not exist." How can I get around
this?

in response to nizzy.. are you using mozilla? I have the
same problem.. you will need to click save target as becasue
it does not auto download rar files.. it's dumb but it's the
way it is. I love this browser but that is getting on my
nerves.
After downloading you will need winrar to open the file and
if you didn't save it as a rar file you'll need to rename it
to .rar

Any chance of a zip version of this? The unrar utility
really sucks.
I'd love to see it, but no dice trying the command line
with no docs.

Whenever I try to download the page that comes up seems to
be encrypted jibberish???? How do I download this?

Once downloaded, how do I install this .rar file? (I'm new
to all this)

So, for me that already created 6 massive dungeons with
the traditional dungeon set for my Eye of the Beholder 2
module... Is there any way for me to override the
traditional tileset? I dont need the traditional dungeon
set anyway... And I am not to happy about recreating the
dungeons, since they took a month to build...
And then... There is no way to get theese in 64mb
versions, is it?
Best Regards
JemyM

Whoa! Surely superior to any of the Bioware tilesets!

Sounds great .. alot of nice responses .. one question
tho .. the download link isnt working for me .. and it
claims no downloads yet .. but it appears others have it ..
am i missing something?
I firmly believe nwn needs better dungeons than the one
that shipped with the game .. wtf is up with tha lava
anyway???

Correction :
Morpheus : The duplicator is NT/XP systems only because it
uses .net expansion. I doubt Poly will change that.
Should read: I doubt Labtek will change that.

So much to say...
A great thank you all !
I`ll try to do some replies here...
Papermonk : I`m honored that the City of Doors Initiative
likes it.
Mystic_Nexus : New Tutorial on its way to the Vault, I`d
like to see that Astral Plane thing when it`s done.
Decan : Water, pits and bridges are planned.
msippel : The flames and Local lighting issues are to be
examined
Morpheus : The duplicator is NT/XP systems only because it
uses .net expansion. I doubt Poly will change that.
DTime : I`ll contact you, exchanging ideas is always great
