Would be nice to have someone make a mage-specific staff out of wood or something simple. It is terrible to have nothing a wizard can use except metal very flashy staves. It would be nice to see a dark wood staff or just something, a variety.

If you change the baseitems.2da file (EquipableSlots) you
can make any of the existing staves equipable in the left
hand. The problem with this is that it makes them useable
as well (i.e., you would end up fighting two-handed) which
is probably not what you want.

I just added two new staff models to my Blackrazor hak pak,
version 3. They are gnarled, wooden staves. Shorter than
the standard staves (about the height of an elf), crooked
wood. One model is plain wood (comes in oak, redwood and a
dark wood finish). The other is carved with runes and shod
with metal, top and bottom. Unfortunately, these new models
do not mix well with the standard staves because they are
shorter so the model pieces do not fit together. This is
unavoidable because the top piece of the standard models is
so high and I wanted to avoid the 10-foot-pole as a staff
phenomenon.

Just like Gandalf or Saruman's staves (Gandalf had a
different one for each of his colors e.g. Grey or White)

I don't know about plain wooden staves, but I think it
would be cool to see some twisted wooden staves with more
options for the top portion like Raistlin's staff. Wasn't
somebody working on a model for this a while ago. What
happened with that?

You could just make a magical quarterstaff. They seem to be
made out of wood.

When I finish making the plot sword for my module (The
Dragonbone Sword) I might give this a go....I'm gonna have
A LOT of wizards and druids and clerics and necros and you
get the point. I kinda wish tho that Lisa would make
another ver of her robes...like more wizardy if u know what
I mean.

I dont mind metal, per se, just the extreme length to
them. I prefer a tall walking stick, not a 10 foot pole.

It would also be nice if you could carry it in the left
hand withowt using it as a weapon (like a torch maybe, but
torches can't have any power besides light).
