OK, this is my first time making a model, so don't be too rude. It needs texturing, beacuse for some reason when I export it or save it as 3ds it losses the textures it had. Modelled in Rhinoceros 3, any feedback is welcome, if anyone wants to texture it, feel free to do it. Also, I still have the NURB model, if anyone wants it uploaded, feel free to ask and I'll upload it. P.S. I'm kinda new to this so I don't know if the polycount is too high, it can be reduced more, but I don't know how convenient it is. What's a good polycount?

basically all you have to do to make it available for module use is use CEP 1.51 and CEP Companion 15 make the sword look like the one in the picture above and then do a little item scripting to give a glow using Lilac Souls Script Generator, and there you will have it.

Is this still being worked on? I keep checking back to see if it's had any progress, but none so far... maybe you could have someone else take up the work and finish it? I've been wanting this model for a while, and can't help but get a bit impatient after a year. Anyway, looks good, and keep up the good work.

I've never downloaded custom models before. Where do I put the file?!?

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 5 that made this score of 6.00 then rounded to 6.

Looks good, cube! I hope you can put it into NWN form soon. I wish I could help, but I'm not very good with making textures, and I only have gmax right now.

Ki that was a little harsh, you could at least show some encoragement, if you're so smart tell the guy how to texture it....

It is white because there is no texture file... like any model with no texture.

The sword is pure white?...

Unfortunately, I don't know how to do any of the thing you said. But I'm just starting college and taking 3d modelling classes, so expect me to post more complex and/or advanced models as time goes on ^_^

Nice sword, unfortunately unusable to most of us... it needs to be converted into nwn style (3 models) and textured before it's of any real use to the community. Then, most people still won't use it unless it's in a hakpak with instructions on how to use. Still though, that's a very nicely modeled sword.

Well, 23 downloads, any thoughts about it?
Posted by Cube ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-09-30 12:47:00
OK, uploaded the new model. Reduced polycount to 263, still hasn't textured, because I can only do it when I'm at school, that's where most of the 3D design tools I use are.
Now, to wait 'til the server updates.

My 11 year old loved the sword. With or without texture and wants to use it to build a game.VBG

200 polygons? OK, I can do that. Now, I know it's far from good looking, but I'm just getting started. I'll try to reduce the polycount and upload it again.
BTW, I thought it was on a mesh format, it isn't?

I hate to say but it looks like +blocked+.

Nice sword but there are some problems. First, you will need some textures and convert it into editable mesh format to use it in NWN.
Secondly, your mesh musn't contain more than 200 polygons.
Do not discourage and return to forge your work 1000 times if it's needed!
Keep courage and welcome in the small community of the NWN's smiths. :)
