How do i make the monster?
I need step by step instructions.
Cuzz all i want is a really BIG ugly monster in my mod.
And THIS fits the exact descripition!
All i know how to do is download it and goto paint, see the downloaded file as .zip and not know what to do with it, ill be looking at it for hours. :-(

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 8 that made this score of 7.50 then rounded to 8.

Very nice recriation of the fabled dragon Goddess. Hmmmmm... I wonder if the Aurora Toolset would allow all the heads to breathe at the same time...
Quite Overpowering, no?

I've put it in a hak, and the model appears in game, but it doesn't move....???? When it deplaces, it slides on the floor and makes no movement... the same in a fight...

I myself like this length (a lil taller and it wouldn't
fit on the screen and then you can best use a normal
rescaled dragon because you couldn't see the heads)
Posted by Draegos ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-03 22:07:00
Especially for a first version, this is wonderful. How
did you know I needed this lady for my module?
The black-scaled body was kind of disjointing; I'd prefer
red myself. And I miss the wings... although I'm not a
D&D guy; could be she doesn't really HAVE wings for all I
know. Stature is another point that I know's already been
touched on here, but I'd like it restated: this lady's not
tall enough yet!
Thank you, Zonker. It looks like there was a lot of us
waiting for this one and I'm glad you were the one to give
it to us. Here's hoping for more versions in the future.
Tiamat is HOT.

Far too small, especially the heads. The great goddess
looks silly next to any regular dragon.

Z,
I don't suppose you have explored how to make these big bad
creatures with multiple heads attack with them all in one
round have you? Several of the latest creatures (Hydra,
Tiamat, Marilith) haven't many attack methods, but can't
seem to use them all in one round, it'll probably be some
creative scripting, and before I started to tackle it, I am
trying to determine if anyone else has already begun this.
Thanks :) Good work!!

What kind of direction?
Posted by The Dungeon Master ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-10-23 10:28:00
Ok, Ive read the web pages on custome content. I tried to
make a hak pack and tried the Custom Content Builder.
A little direction is all I need. Nothing in detail.
Just standing on the corner, needing help across the
street.

Great work Zonker! I have been away for awhile, and almost
missed seeing it on the front page.
Thank you for releasing this.
:-)

Yes, I think I will make another version.
But I should point out that modeling is a
secondary thing for me and I spend most of
my time working on my main project
(a sp module)
Anyway, yeah I'll update it but you shouldnt
wait for me to do that to continue your project.
Make it into a hakpak so that you can continue
your work and when I do release an updated
version (i'll be sure to use the same name for the
model) you can just overwrite the one in your
hakpak....

Are you going to change it up a bit to make it more
accurate to Tiamat or is this going to be the final? If
this is going to be the final I'll go ahead and throw it
all in a hakpack, but if you're going to do an update I'll
wait till them.

Hehe, youre right actually, she does have a red body..
and now that i looked at her more closely I seem to also
have gotten the order of the heads wrong :)
Ming, yes by all means make haks , erfs or whatever else
you want :)

Firstly thanks Zonker for creating the Tiamat model. I
didnt find it hard to incorporate into a module via the
2da edit, but a hakpack would be just as good as most
newbies know how to use them.
I agree with Ming about spacing the heads out more.
Tiamat (in the cartoon) had two smaller heads each side of
her larger main red dragon head. She was also a red
dragon body.
Other than that, great work. She kicked my butt.

This is a good start at this. There are currently some
clipping issues with the heads once she starts moving. I
think the death animation looked a little weird too (but
may have just been the quick look I got at it, she
disappeared before I could get to good of a look).
I don't know how to fix the clipping stuff with the heads,
but maybe space them around the neck/chest area a bit
different.
But keep up the good work. Would you mind if I made this
into a hakpack putting all the stuff together so people
have to do less work with it?

#1 - you dont need any textures. it's using the already
existing dragon textures so dont worry about that.
#2 - The Great Slayer of Gelatinous Cubes said , 'Also I
have someone to blame if there is a problem in the line of
the .2da they copied and edited.' That is the reason I
didnt make a hak out of it .... it'll probably conflict
with some of your existing stuff and i'll get the blame for
it....

@Boromir
It's easy. Just extract the "Appearance.2da" then copy a
entry (that's a line in this file type) and add it last in
the document. Then What you have to change is the column
"RACE" which should hold the model name and "PORTRAIT" that
should hold the name of the portrait file of course. You
don't need to change anything else if you don't want. But
from looking at the other entries you can see that you can
easily set a lot of things. But if you use a dragon entery
as a base you don't need to change that. And last you have
to number the new entery after the last on in the original file.

Hey up Zonker.
I really want to use this but cannt cos me not know how to
make new entries in the 2da file. Any chance of this
becomeing a true monster hak? PLEASE
Posted by Wolfsong ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-10-20 07:31:00
The texture shows when you use it in the game. No texture is
needed for models that only use the textures already in the
game. You just can't see them in the NWN Viewer unless you
extract the dragon skins just to view it.
Posted by The Great Slayer of Gelatinous Cubes ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-10-20 04:58:00
Well the picture looks good... but I didn't see the texture
either.
BTW: I don't know if I am alone on this one or not but
while I know well how to edit .2das and combine haks etc
etc, I still wouldn't mind if it came with a hak. It might
sound corny but its alot easier for me to go through
everything in the hak utility exporting it to files as
appose to copying over from where I leave the zips. (Also I
have someone to blame if there is a problem in the line of
the .2da they copied and editted.)
I loved the model but please put up the texture and make it
a little more accessiable, the time to export and edit two
hak paks is far less than the time to mess around with
typing in the model names and texture names just to edit
one.
Thanks and keep up the great work, hey planning anyother
multiheaded creatures, maybe some lions or dogs or demons?

good model thanx.
But I think you forgot to put the texture in? There are
portraits too which is nice.
Could you make an erf though, then we just load it in. Or
even a mod that we can preview ingame?
