Using the flesh golem model was a fantastic idea! Nice

i enlarged some features on the arms and head to try to
give it more of the 'twiggy effect'; also, removed the gas
backpack (or whatever it was) from the flesh golem. with
some scaling, application of the barkskin and some
modification to the animation set ... viola

I see you used the Flesh Golem model for it.. Good idea,
but you could also model it so a couple of twigs and
branches will come out of it.. if its not to hard to do,
would give a bit of a.. eh.. 'Twiggy' effect or whatever
you want to call it :|
