I made this for the Eye of the Beholder II project ( http://eotb2.no-ip.com ). The purpose of this simple model is to show how to change the appearence of a wall, without using a tileset, or an advanced model. When placing this placeable in front of a wall, it will look like there is a 'crack' in the wall. The idea is to make the 'crack' placeable attackable. When it is destroyed, script it to create Crack2 in the same spot. Crack2 is an 'opening' that will bring a character to the other side when clicked. This will look like someone bashing down the wall to get to the other side. You can repaint the texture to create other large wall features, like a painting, or a curtain. Only your imagination and photoshop skill will limit you. This model will not replace any existing models from bioware.

OK for Newbies to get the hang of NWN Editor and the possibilities connected with it. Great Idear. But as it is not too difficult to acutally make this "model" I didn´t want to rate it too high. Sorry! But hey - even so it´s something I bet people could use. _________________________ Earthdawn is the pen&paper RPG of choice. This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 1 that made this score of 4 then rounded to 4.

I forgot to ask...are you shure that I don´t have to change anything with the .mdls?

Well, i shrunk it in photoshop...and it looked terrible...
guess it has to do with the transparency but have no Idea what I did wrong. If anybody knows plz tell me...I would really love to use this nice idea in my module.
Thnx a lot in advance

I am aware that the walls are seldom flat. :( The
screenshot you see, is where I use the crack, and there,
it fits (It is one of the dungeon walls).
If needed, only open Photoshop and shrink the texture a
bit. :) Its easier than it sounds. Just be sure to keep
the transparency, otherwise it will look terrible.
Transparent black look like a shadow on a normal wall.

This is very interesting addition.. buuuuutt it's very hard
to work into any of the genereal tilesets. There actually
aren't a whole lot of truly flat walls in any of the sets.
What few that do exist are significantly smaller then the
model you've provided. The "crack extends (quite
noticeably) above virtually every tileset wall (this seems
like a "two story" crack when it should be a single story
tile.) And also reaches beyond the width of most flat wall
spaces one might be lucky enough to find. Overall, its a
wonderful placeable, just needs to be SHRUNK I think to be
really useful.
But I could be wrong, if anyone else is placing this
relatively seemlessly in any environment, just let me know.
I tried all the interiors, crypt, sewer, dungeon, castle
and even city..
I really like the idea of it though, thank you.

The file contains two textures. One crack (see image) and
one hole (crack2). Guess I wasnt to clear in my
description.
