This is more than just wings and tails. Through simple exploration, I found that you can put any type of model in the wing/tail slots on npcs/pcs. This includes visual effects among other things. The beauty of this is some modelers out there can use this slot to make cloaks, backpacks and such. Its basically a new slot for pc/npc development and customization. This package contains: All Dragon wings (Saja's hak), black angel wings, Mephistophele's wings, gargoyle wings, and around 60 different model/visual effects to use in wings/tail slot. To install just extract to your override folder, I don't like haks so I left it in override format. There are 3 2das included, wingmodel, tailmodel, and appearance. Appearance.2da is included to change the size of wings to a little larger. There is also a few extra monster appearances added to the 2da, including the rakshasa bear and wolf females. Thanks to Saja for the wonderful dragonwings hak and for help when I got confused with textures lol.

Is there any way to get this to work with the CEP. I have used it with the standard game just fine. But with the CEP only the original wings and tails work.

Hey guys..Lets go pretty slowly...This is what I´ve done up to now:
a) Extracted files to my Override folder
b) Downloaded 2da editor
I can open the files in the editor and then I have no clue what to do...
I dont have CEP or hak in my PC...I wish I could build the appearance of my char just like Extender does...Is it possible? What are the next steps?!
To the person complaining about winrar: Check out zipgenius. It's free, contains no spyware, etc, and unzips most files. I've been using it for about a year now and it's served me well
Well, this this looks awesome. If someone more knowledgable than I could convert it to ahak, I would surely get it. As it stands, override files mess with too many things (Including, in most cases, keeping me out of the PW I DM for) so I tend to avoid them.

Ok, I downloaded file onto desktop, then extracted into ovveride, and when i use AE, advanced editor, and I make Tail and Wings both 1, then right click both and click save file on each, then i save my character totally from main leto, then logg off, and when i go to a pvp char with the wings/tails, they not there!!! :*( please respond....

On another note, the PRC companion accepts submissions. If you convert this, it could make it in easily.

The concept behind this in absolutely brilliant, I must give you that, and the vast majority of these are good enough to do the job.
However, for every great idea, there seems to be two really crappy ones sitting there, not necessarilly because of the number, it's just some are so crappy it boggles the mind.
I can't see how one might be able to use the doors, treasure chests. Waypoints? How could you dream of using them? How am I supposed to use the Cone of Butterflies? What is the point of putting the Neverwinter Nights menu on, well, anything? The idea might be able to work if you could apply wings and tails to non-PC races, but since you can't, you're stuck there.
Clearly, this is a good idea, clearly, quite a bit is useful, but I'd trim out the +blocked+ and put in some more useful things.
That being said, this is, as I said earlier, a brilliant idea. I'd love to see some other effects put on, like maybe radiant looking wings (with fire or something coming out of them), energy auras (the body encasing sparkles were in the right direction, altough it would be better if it were less bright), translucent fire (so you could be on fire and still see the character), or tracer rays that come from all sides (trust me, it would be cool), maybe even faux permanent spell effects.
Just my opinion.

Eh... alright. Couple things: If you are having problems with off-key textures and/or it just not working, try renaming the 2da files so that it is not 2DA but 2da. I don't know why, but I've read a number of places caps is a bad idea.
Second, there are some really great atmospheric type things in the pack. Most of it is cheese, but there are some things that could be used to great effect even in a serious RP setting.
On another note... override causes more problems than haks do. The more things that go in the override folder, the more likely your game won't work, period. The only good part about using override is if you just want clientside changes--with stuff like that hak that makes hands look better, thats fine even in an RP setting. And it is fine for SP, sure. But it -has- to be in a hakpak and not client override for any serious rp--just makes more sense if everyone can see the same thing.
Finally, could just be me but no matter what I did the kung-fu bear and a few other things had textures that didn't show. I've got a decent computer with a brand new high quality graphics card, so... _________________________ Aspiring author; NWN builder and DM.
