Winter Tileset v0.6 (6.7 Megs) Neverwinter Nights Hak Pak This Hak Pak adds a winter tileset to Neverwinter Nights. To use it first place a copy in the HAK directory in your NWN folder. Create a new module (or open an existing one) select Edit - Module Properties from the drop down menus. Select the Advanced Tab. Select the winter Hak Pak from the Hak Pak drop down list. Add a new area using the Area wizard. You will now see the 'snowy' tileset. Contributors: Laktek: Hak Pak creator and tile set duplicator. Loremaster Q (aka Kenbok): Re-textured TGA files. Xahlt: A mod to replace water with ice. Version History v0.0: Original 3 retextured TGAs by Labtek v0.1: Everwinter retextured TGAs by Kenbok v0.2: Placed in Hak Pak. Added ice mod by Xahlt v0.3: Removed Grass v0.4: Added repeating edge effects v0.5: Retextured the Mini-Map. v0.6: Reduced the TGAs to match those in the release version.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 42 that made this score of 8.50 then rounded to 9.

Everyone loves the snow! I can't beleive that Bioware didn't create one on their own. Thanks for filling a much needed gap.

It's a very nice job, I wonder if I'll be able to figure
out how you did it...
congratulations from Italy!

Wonderful! I really like it!

Sweet! Now if I could just figure out how to do a snowman
monster to battle with... ;)
How do you create tilesets and creatures anyway? Anyone
know who can share the info (i.e. program names, etc...)?
I am a bit of an artist myself and I have some good
ideas! Just need the tools...
Again, great job!

Great job. But how do you do this?
Posted by ActiveNick ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-07-07 20:06:00
Any plans on creating more winter versions of the other
tilesets? namely the forest and city tilesets?

Question:
If I use the tileset, will others have to download it
prior to playing my mod in multiplayer? Or will it be
uploaded tot hem automatically?

Sweet a winter tileset, great job on it, looks great and
all, I like desert tilesets the most, if you can make a
desert one as well, that'd be purely the best in the world.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this valuable addition!!

Thank you so much for winter ! I wouldnt care if a Hak Pak
was 100 MB's, I would still download it ! But I really wish
I could learn to create my own, and share.. Especially a
Futuristic Technology tileset, whereas an old module such
as Expedition to the barrier peaks could be re-created in
CRPG form...
Thx again !

I sure do miss having broadband internet! This tileset is
great (even though it took a lifetime to download over a
dial-up internet connection!) Keep them coming!

I`ve been watching this ever since the first release for
the Beta toolset.
Great that you managed to get it into a .hak.
I love this NWN-community !

No offense but I'm waiting til Bioware releases something
more official. Have fun regardless.

Swaying grass doesn't react to spells or creatures walking
through it. IMO the grass should just be removed, doesn't
really belong. Also, edge of the area doesn't repeat
infinitely like it should, it just ends in a grey void.
Possibility: it thinks its an interior tileset? I noticed
that it defaults to "artificial" rather than "natural" in
the area properties.
It seems that if anything deserves to use the override
directory it is this, I don't want to include this whole 50
meg package in every hak file I make. If only bioware
would support the loading of multiple hak files at once.
Like .pk3 files in Quake3. Otherwise people will have to
have redundant recources in their .hak folder. Not good
when dealing with tilesets.

Doesn't work. I dropped the hak file into the hak directory
like the readme says....
doesn't show up in the toolset. *shrugs*

It doesn't say in the description, but this file is 30.8 MB

whatever. :)

Yeah, real good, I was hoping for a winter one in the
toolset, but this fixes it. Thanks.

Great tileset! I almost start feeling cold when I walk
through it. Very nice work!
I hope they fix the automap soon, because that's the only
small thing I've noticed (it is still green). But that is
only a minor one. Very good work!
