We all know what the city tileset looks like. It's dull, now. It's been 3 years, and we've been in more cities than we can count. This PW, that PW.. the official campaign.. I mean.. the same old look is just not what it once was.
So here it is, folks. The second installment of DaleV's City Texture Overrides. For those that liked my first set, I think you'll find this one to be very different. Rather than simply re-coloring an existing set, I've actually created these by combining, coloring and modifying actual texture images from the net.
To use, simply Un-RAR to your C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\Overrides folder. (Assuming C:\ is the drive that NWN is installed on your machine.) -> And that's it. Now all your favorite PWs, Official Campaigns and Single Player Modules will have a unique feel!
And I know you guys want to know what you're getting, so to the right, you'll see approximately 15 screenshots, showcasing the new textures in my PW, The Crescent Coast. Enjoy, and remember.. if you don't like them, it's as simply as deleting the TGA files from your overrides directory, later on down the road.
This...is AWESOME. I play on a pretty persistant RP server (Wheel of Time- The Third Age) and Being a Warder in Tar Valon is soooo dull with all the gray and bland tilework. This helps so much, thanks ;) -just the comment of a girl in Texas-

Great in concept, but not very useable, due to tiles that don't flow well together (making tile edges obvious), and some coloration that is just way too unrealistic (mainly the grass).

I like the idea behind this, but I think it needs some cleaning up. The tile edges are just waaay too obvious, which kinda interferes with immersion. A more specific (and probably easier to fix) issue I noticed is with the large fountain group. One quarter of the center dais appears to have the brick texture from the underwater bits.
Anyhow, I do encourage work like this. I love seeing NWN get a facelift now and then.

I think it's dumb that when you vote and leave a comment, the comment only goes on the vote stats section.
So, I repeat myself... LOOOOOOVE IT! :D

This is amazing. Dear gods, please make more for the other tilesets....I offer you my firstborn. He's 12 now, but really... all yours.
*Laughs* Well.. I guess I'm going to have to find some other tilesets to override and see how they look. Thanks for the comments, guys.. and criticism/votes welcome! _________________________ "So many people look, but never see."
