In version 3.0 (and older) was to enable it to use shields. Unfortunately for the adaptation of animation removed the marker dummy shields.
For sure he will be in the final version, so that it could use shields.

i just deleted all .plt files from your hak and found that it only affects the heads, so maybe change the head-models to use the textures from the "pmh0_headxxx.plt" and "pfh0_headxxx.plt"
that keeps the hak smaller and this way the user's texture quality settings will be used.

looks way better yet.
are you using the lowest quality textures in your settings or is it because you put them into the hak?
i use highest texture resolution and the centaurs use lowest...
maybe just don't put the .plt files into the hak. that should do the trick ;)

centaur"tail" with dynamic skin-color, fur(hair)-color and tattoo-color using a .plt texture ;)

well, after trying it out, i suggest the following changes:
-delete the main nodes for the pelvis, because the are clipping with the horse
-change the centaur"tail", so that the horse's shoulders become the human's pelvis...
-change the pmc0_xxx.mdl and pfc0_xxx.mdl to use the textures of the pmh0 and pfh0, because yours are bioware low quality textures and its no use having duplicate textures for all the other races and then for the centaur too ;)
