This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 8 that made this score of 6.25 then rounded to 6.

unique weapon design! can't wait to see how it fits with
the Balrog in my module. Keep up the good work!

Dig the idea. After you get the Poly count down, would you
be able to "borrow" the animations from the mornignstar (it
just seems to fit) untill you come up with you own.
Keep it up.

Great! Nice to see some "original" thinking. Id love to
see more unique models like this instead of a million
swords and axes with different skins. (not that I can
skin or model just saying) Can't wait to see something
like this in game.

Nice model. Just wish there was a way to get it into the
game. = )

Nice concept, despite the polycount. It is a learning
process. And it is better to try and err then to stand at
the sides an waggle your finger. :)
Kudos to you for taking steps into the realm most people
seem to be avoiding for the time being.

Yeah, after looking at the models with chains in the game
I noticed how they did it, sorry if ive peed anyone off
but it WAS my second ever model :)

N/A
3203 Poly's no way!!! Try getting it down to 32 polys
and you'll have a feasibly weapon to put in game.
That polycount will make the FPS way to slow for in game.
Try making your chain links with just a skin not actual
polygons. You know... most games use weapon models under
100 polygons.
Great model!!!
But not practical

1) SOmething Open FX makes when you make a model
2) Thats because theres nothing to DO with this model. I
have no idea how to get weapons into the game, so I was
hoping someone would download this and get it in.
3) See above.
4) As I have only been a modeler for about, what, 7 days?
I have no idea what a high or low polycount is. Sorry if
its too high, but chains use lots of circles, and they
take up alot of polygons. PLease spare me the flames, I
know its huge in polygons, but I am just a n00b modeler!

1) What is an .mfx file
2) This came with no documentation.
3) How do you make use of this new weapon in the game.
4) As someone else asked, is this seriously 3203 polygons???

Hmmm... *are* there any whip-like weapons in NWN? Does it actually lash?
Posted by Azaka ( 07/08/02 10:09..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-07-08 10:09:00
Polygon count: 3203
For a weapon model? Please tell me that's a typo.
