A chance battle on the road has had greater consequences than any could conceive. The Goblins have united behind a single leader, and are massing to attack Greenvale... This is the second chapter in the Parthenon Multiplayer Campaign. It picks up a few days after Chapter 1 left off. The module should be played with characters from Chapter 1. Ideally, with the same party, as well. However, you should be able to play with a different group or with a different character with a minimum of fuss, thanks to a character/party verification system. The the README for rules changes. Non Hak-Pak version. OPTIONAL Intro Movie available via Hak Pak link below.

Replayed chapter I, II and III with a lvl 5 barbarian/ranger/fighter, played chapter IV with a fighter lvl 7 and chapter V with a rogue/fighter/SD lvl 9.
I found some good, some bad and some ugly design decisions. Overall, I would side with the reviewer and score accordingly but I still think this unfinished vintage campaign is not really worth downloading.

As expected this one was tougher playing with a solo lvl 2 (Rogue/Barbarian) on hardcore setting.
The knocked out script did not work for me and I got locked in/out of the temple. I got stuck in that area until the monsters decided to "unlock" the way forward.
Very good material otherwise.

This module series captures the feel of a PnP campaign. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a multiplayer campaign which is story driven. It lacks polish in some respects, but I found the whole series thoroughly enjoyable. I thought the pace of levelling was perfect (slower than many other modules) , and the handing out of experience at the end encourages avoiding unnecessary combat.
The intro movies add a bit of flavour, but I would definately only download them on broadband.
This module was a great introduction to the Parthenon world, and I liked how we weren't 'guided by dreams' or 'a great prophecy' from day one. I also enjoyed the refreshing experience of not being trusted to save the town just because we were level 2! This chapters weakest points were some of the larger and emptier areas.
For me, this chapter reminded me that it can actually be fun to play a level 2 character!

Hi Teiwaz,
I'm following on from my comments on Chapter 1, so all that praise about how good the Parthenon series was also applies here. :)
Again with this chapter I felt the pacing was excellent - just enough to attain level 3. I had some skepticism at first about the way XP was handed out, some righteous indignation over the fact that people who avoided some encounters or didn't explore some areas thoroughly enough would still get the same XP as we did, but this module helped me to see the error of my ways! :) In fact, this is a brilliant set-up, considering that many -characters- may not want to complete every quest (eg rogues or neutral people), and yet, as long as they complete their goal, they are rewarded properly. I'm very much considering such a system for any modules my boyfriend and I make in the future, I loved it so much.
This adventure carried on quite well from the previous chapter, and allowed us to get a slightly wider view of the big picture without throwing us into things too early. I'm quite impressed by the way you've so expertly crafted each chapter - it shows that you've been a PnP DM for some time.
Unfortunately we didn't do the sundial side quest, we kinda forgot about it until the very end, and then it was too late to go back. It would be great if there was some way we could have done it in a later module, but I understand that would have been quite difficult to script - and it would have probably broken up the flow you've so masterfully created here.
We found the creatures a bit tough in this one, but that was our own fault - there were 2 of us, a barbarian/rogue and a casting-cleric, not exactly the best fighters in the world, and we played on hard-core rather than the "easy" settings you specified in the read-me. So I certainly can't fault you for that! :)
My vote: 8 [Now I -can- vote, yay!]

Where are the hak files for these modules? The link takes you to the movies instead?
