All I can say is WOW! I can't believe I'd never played this series before!
It's very funny (sometimes down right hilarious), but still manages to tell a great story with engaging characters.
I agree with others that posted that the combat was too freakin' hard at times, but I was having such a good time with this, that I didn't even mind really.
Excellent work, everyone should try this series! _________________________ The less you know, the more you believe.

I played through the hole campaign and it was really good ( the rating is for the whole campaign). Note : I'm really greedy on tens...
I had not given a ten because in the first 5 modules (out of ten). I got really frustrated by too hard combat and by the fact that XP was only gained through fight. I was playing a rogue and it was really hard without a good henchmen to help me maneuver for placing my sneak attacks. Indeed, the balance is really much better in the ''rerolled'' campaign and the fact that you have a henchmen with you helped me much. The second part of the campaign is really better than the first one so keep on playing up to those one and you'll be surprised.
Still, the humor and the storyline is good (or should I say GOOD !!!) so it deserve its 9 rightfully !!! Be prepared for a good laugh and don't take it seriously !!!

A great conclusion to a fun and funny series.

Counteracting Steve's inexplicable harshness. Penultima is a fun trip, and Rerolled is better.
Downvoting this 4-year-old module based on the logic that other people have made better ones within the last 4 years, rather than by the actual merits of this one. No wonder you use a Mac, Steve. It's because you're an idiot.

It is pretty linear but I consider it the best of the Penultima series.

Nice conclusion to the series. Romping around the mansion collecting reagents for the Kaos trap was a tad OC-like, but fun. The story remains strong and ends well.
The Elshire Raiders were a tad overpowered -- hasted with 50hp fireballs? Compared to those, the Kaos was a pushover. I was actually expecting Kaos himself to rise up and fight after the minions were defeated; the minions were very weak for a final encounter.

Nice to see opponents from previous encounters at the end and interesting ending, but it was just a bunch of running around separate areas gathering items for that ending.
I think this module it outdated; may have been fun in the beginning, but today, there are much larger modules with more storyline to them. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Good series! Not as great as Hex Coda though. Dialogue was brilliant! Great jokes! Story was good. The fights were quite terrible and annoying through the whole series though. WAY to hard sometimes. I had to cheat and go to "god mode" to kill the elven raiders and I have never had to do that before in any module so that lowers the rating quite a bit. But thank you for the entertainment! You're a very very skilled writer and the Hex Coda is among the best modules I've ever played so...
Well, now on to Penultima Rerolled...

Stefan Gagne, hats off. This entire series is terrific. I recommend it to any and all players. The time and effort put into crafting a well thought out series such as this makes this a must play for all gamers. Each installment was better than the next. Thank you.

This Penultima series is the best campaigns I ever played in NWN's mods including original ones.
I always thought NWN was the best at PvP setting, but man, this series is kicking ass.

Where the hell did the portal go? I would comment on the series but I can't go throught the portal because it disappeared. Is that a fluke or what?

Pure comic genius. Just a few overly tricky battles. Sure I could of avoided them but I'm a HERO dammit! _________________________ "A sword is useless in the hands of a coward" - Nichiren Daishonin

Genius. Comic genius anyway. In terms of the whole series, I found a couple of the battles pretty tough playing as a fighter class. Shameful I know but the elven magic users had fireball type spells that caned me and some other spell that would instant kill me if I failed a save. Some occassions where I'd be surrounded by an army of melee enemies and get severely beaten on aswell. Regardless, the modules are pretty good and the dialogue is amazing. I'm a huge Pratchett fan so I was glued to these modules instantly. In fact I think I finished the series in about a day and a half. I give it a 9, would be 10 but for some crazy encounters and those bloody intellect devourers which I could only barely damage on a critical hit. _________________________ "A sword is useless in the hands of a coward" - Nichiren Daishonin

A good finish but the fights weren't that fun. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
