The Interplane... a superhighway of communication, linking folks in Penultima to their friends, family, loved ones, handy shopping, rowdy chat, pr0n, warez, and more. Where would we be without it? We might get to find out, after the d20 Gang sabotages the Interplane... but fortunately you and your running buddies are on hand to right the wrongs and make the Interplane safe once more for all, from n00bs to the l33t. Or you'll die trying. Or both. [Version 1.0]

Incredible modules. Just chimed in to say that Kingdom of Loathing wasn't released until a full year after this module was made. _________________________ -=Jaysyn=-

All I can say is WOW! I can't believe I'd never played this series before!
It's very funny (sometimes down right hilarious), but still manages to tell a great story with engaging characters.
I agree with others that posted that the combat was too freakin' hard at times, but I was having such a good time with this, that I didn't even mind really.
Excellent work, everyone should try this series (especially the Rerolled campaign which was phenomenal!) _________________________ The less you know, the more you believe.

I played through the hole campaign and it was really good ( the rating is for the whole campaign). Note : I'm really greedy on tens...
I had not given a ten because in the first 5 modules (out of ten). I got really frustrated by too hard combat and by the fact that XP was only gained through fight. I was playing a rogue and it was really hard without a good henchmen to help me maneuver for placing my sneak attacks. Indeed, the balance is really much better in the ''rerolled'' campaign and the fact that you have a henchmen with you helped me much. The second part of the campaign is really better than the first one so keep on playing up to those one and you'll be surprised.
Still, the humor and the storyline is good (or should I say GOOD !!!) so it deserve its 9 rightfully !!! Be prepared for a good laugh and don't take it seriously !!!

I like the non-linearity. I like the humor. I like the Interplane design. I like the endgame puzzles. There were several moments that I burst into laughter out of amazement. Truly a fun game! If I have to nitpick, I would like to say that there are only 2 kinds of "bugs", which lacks variety. Still I am so satisfied with it that I want to give it a 10.
This is the point at which Gagne begins to BLATANTLY plagiarize Kingdom of Loathing, instead of just incidentally plagiarizing it.

Basically more of the same. The Internet spoofing provides a fresh setting. The storytelling remains strong. The fights remain tedious and unrewarding.
The K0b vs. G0b war is entertaining, with all of its references to l33t speak and chat room antics. The museum provides some nice little setting tidbits. As with the Interplane, the fantasy portrayals of modern concepts (the Bard's Guild cracking down on pirates, the fashion and music trends, Ralph's little PR0N stash) are a strong point of the series.
Vote takes a step down from PR1/City without the custom items that gave that one a bit of extra weight.

+.25 for hi-tech designs
+.25 for high powered goblins (the first monsters you fight in Bioware's original campaign.)
Still, too much running around just for a singing outfit. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Enjoyed the setting of this one very much! I had several laugh-out-loud moments and enjoyed the interplane immensely!

rerolled.hak is in the PR0/PR1 module, which he assumes you've played before playing this module.

Much funner then its predecessor, unfortunately the chat zone interior crashed my computer almost 30 times. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Penultima Rerolled continues to improve. This episode is the funniest yet, with a brilliant bit of parody about the internet...or a fantasy adaptation of the internet at least. There are gags throughout, and many of them are quite clever.
Combat is fun and varied, and seems well balanced. One of the most fun exercises is where you get to take part in a (ridiculus) battle between two factions. You choose the factions and then get to have the aide of an army of troops as you move through the battlegrounds. All the while, it's a funny slam on the K-RaD D00D3rz of cyberspace. Overall, I may have died once, while my henchgirl died twice.
This episode is also fairly non-linear, or at least it feels that way. There are a fair number of optional quests again, and this time fairly major differences in the gameplay can result from your selection of henchman. I choose Sally this time around, and found her to be an excellent support character...not to mention she plays a really pivotal role in opening a pretty big quest.
The story only develops a little in this episode, though there are more hints about what could possibly be going on with the d20 gang. As it is, though, it largely plays as a series of funny episodes that are held together by a very general theme. It's a lot of fun to play, but I really like deep stories and this one doesn't have that yet.
I'm very much enjoying this series, and look forward to episode 3. -Brandiles

Forgot--my only complaint is that there aren't any options for vandalizing Ralph Neckerson's 'Homeplane'. GOD how I wanted to make that jackass suffer....

Just to add this--this is probably the most entertaining chapter of the entire Penultima series--and possibly out of every NWN module I've played--yet. The 'Interplane' setting allows for a deeply humorous experience, while still allowing for the fantasy action we've come to expect. Even with the inclusion of all of our favorite internet cliches to torment our character...applied in this manner, it doesn't so much make one groan as groan...well, gleefully. The culmination of the whole thing with a singing contest--beautifully done, especially with the custom music.
