Your path has led you to the Dalelands and the small town of Forlaine. For some yet unknown reason humanoid tribes have swarmed to the northern foothills, and the agents of Zhental Keep are snooping around. Something ancient is awakening in the Fallen mountains...... There is one main quest, with a number of side quests that are connected to it. Extra adventure provided for those who search around town. Mainly a strong story driven action adventure, starting of with a seemingly 'normal' quest and sweeping the players off into something grander.Has Lootable Corpses for extra battlefield effect :) Check ingame readme.
Hi. Fought the Balor for the first time. He keeps saying he's free, I keep hitting him for no damage, he never teleports away and kills my party. I just love playing all these hours for nothing. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some poor scripting and area turnout, but overall, this is a great adventure. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

This module has a lot of good things going for it, especially considering how high-level modules of length are still not common enough. There are lots of areas to explore, some tough fights, and at a couple of points, some good tension building story elements. I especially liked the way the PC slowly discovers the fate of the various people living on the mountain as more monsters start settling in. On the other hand, a number of plot elements dont have anything to do with each other, or are too casually explained (Zhent factions, farmer/cultists, Harper agents, etc.). The ending was far too rushed, and like a few other players, I finished the module without knowing it, and without being able to complete some of my quests. My henchwoman had no personality, and most NPCs had no memory of our previous conversations (the captain of the guard would keep rewarding me for a long finished quest if I chose that conversation option). Also, some areas have endless monster respawns, which leads to a sort of Groundhogs day feel to the proceedings. Of course, this was an early work by the author that later gave us CC 1&2 - both really good mods and its probably too much to hope that hed go back and use what he learned to repair his earlier work. Especially when he should be working on CC3.

Can't kill the Zhentarim wizards, a quest head disappears before you get paid, a room with important information can't be entered no matter what. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Straightforward high level adventure-- a couple of excellent, challenging fights, though.
