The Four Stones of Arath, (Chap.1). There is 20 hours of gameplay in this module, and little foreknowledge needed. I don't know how multiplayer will work. A player, male or female, starts at level one and may progress to level 9, though 8 is more likely. The fighting classes of PC are recommended and human, elf, or half-elf are logical for race. Age should be no more than 25. A good or neutral alignment will help. Eventually, you will pick up a henchman (I don't mean the cow) and, even if you don't like the character, you will encounter difficulty if the person is not integrated into your team. Despite rigorous testing, I am sure there are still some bugs in the game. There is more information in the module description as to locale and scenario. If you have any comments, please email [email protected].

Just completed this mod having been stuck on a previous attempt.
Finished 7/2 clr/ftr. You will need a ftr type to play this as combats are tough and sometimes limited restinf spots. Overall a bit confusing but you will have an idea of what the story is about.
However you will only find one stone in this mod. The remainder has not been completed so no real point playing it UNLESS somebody wishes to cotinue with story

OK started playing this game and have now noted no replies by author for a very long time.
Anyway and for anybody who wishes to play this. Well combats at very beginning are very tough see below for additional comments. I have reached a 2/2 ftr/barb lvl and am also stuck on spectacle quest. Although it has something to do with missing bodies quest?
Going back to beginning if author is not around to help out I'd give this a miss until he/she does turn up.

Hmm, so, at second level, before having had any chance to get a magic weapon, I am ambushed by an air mephit (damage resistance, regenerating). I run away - and it follows me into the next area and starts killing townsfolk who are part of the plot.
Sorry, not going to play that one through!

I am horribly shocked at JChung's comments. He/She is
clearly not getting the message. Please try again JChung
and see where you are taken.

The conversation bits about the "dykes" was rather
offensive and out of character for the module. I deleted
the module out of disgust.

I'm an idiot. Those comments were meant for another mod.
This one I've only just started and am enjoying immensly.
Sorry.

I started playing this module and then gave up after awhile
out of frustration. Specifically, I found it irritating
that in a role playing heavy module there were often no
dialogue choices that I thought that my character would
ever say. Generaly the dialogue is, in my opinion, too
wordy. Real people don't speak for entire paragraphs at
each other. I also found the design decision to take all of
my character's stuff away at the beginning to be annoying.
I mean, I'm this person who's travelled however far to see
my old friend and I didn't bother to bring a shortsword or
whatever?
Still there was come cool stuff here so I may come back to
the mod later when I'm in a more patient mood.

Thank's for the input, drunkenfarmer. I thought about that
too, but the thing is: I haven't attacked anyone I
shouldn't attack. Unless you're talking about the soldiers
vs. the slaves/terrorists, where you had to pick sides, and
I attacked the "terrorists". And why should the
cow/shopkeep/Nathan particularly be against me, when nobody
else is? Gotta be a bug...
But anyway, I'm obviously very close to finishing
myself, and I agree with your comments. Make more, PGB! (As
if you weren't already working on it...)

Okay PGB, here's your request... (clips posted from our

sweet mother f-ing story line and quests

Wolf mod
... I beat it!
Excellent work man. Nice 100% all the way around. I'm just
dumb. Damn man, Sharkey _____!!!!(gotta see for yourself)
MAKE FOUR MORE!!!!

Thank for the awesome mod.

Well gilknut, i had that same stinkin problem... only i
attacked the bats in the Brooke farmhouse. Dont attack
anything unless provoked (good rule of life but the creator
took it to the same respect). I just got done with the mod,
and from a user w/ problems perspective, i think i would be
great help, just from my experiences, if any questions need
to be answered.

Newest addition on the list of sudden enemies: Nathan...
that is, if I tell him to wait somewhere (i.e. "release him
from henchman-duty"). This has got to be a bug, or what?
Posted by gilknut ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-01-08 17:23:00
And now Daisy the cow is attacking me too... is this a bug?
(sorry for the double posting, don't know what happened)

...and now I've run into a problem of sorts. When the Mayor
has told me he wants to have a Goblins heart, I went into
Bill Ferny's shop to buy back the heart, which I thought
I'd sold to him hours before. Turns out I didn't; of course
he wouldn't buy it, so I'd left it on the floor in the shop
thinking it unimportant at the time. So I went to pick it
up, but the problem is: The storekeeper is suddenly
hostile! Why on earth would he be that? Now I can't buy
anything from him anymore, and if I attack him, my
alignment shifts 1 point towards evil. Any reason for this?
Help would be appreciated...

I got a bit further than Simon. :) Although I will admit
that I had to try some fights three or four times before
actually winning out. There are a couple of things that I
found, though...
===SPOILERS=====
I can't seem to complete Nellie Cicero's spectacles quest,
since after I *finally* defeated the flesh golems, I
couldn't open any other doors. :( Not even after picking
up Nathan. The golems didn't drop any keys and there are
none in the bookshelf, alchemist's table or armoire (I
think it is).
Next is when I just continued on and after falsely joining
the Church. I went to speak with the Mayor, talked to the
goblin who promptly decided it was better to die than talk
to me further. Then, I couldn't get into the library due
to locked doors again, with no key. Nathan
couldn't/wouldn't pick the lock, and though I did manage to
bash down the door, the only conversation I get is... "It's
the Bracebridge girl, is it? Any news yet?" My answer is,
of course, "No, not yet." I don't know what he's waiting
for.
The last thing is a niggling little thing. The girls in
Efan's house think I'm a guy, even though I'm playing a
female character. :)
Anyway, that's where I'm stopped, and I hope it's just
something I overlooked...

I got only only major complain about this module... Its
difficulty level is just too high imo, if you start this
with a level 1 fighter as suggested. Encounters varies from
very challenging to impossible with legit characters.
*Spoiler*
For example, the orc tent ... my level three-four guy has
to fight an orc shaman rated overpowerful and a chieftain
rated very difficult. When the shaman does not happen to
stun me, he keeps sending acid arrows killing my level 3
character with 39 hps in no time.
Oh, btw, in this encounter, you can leave with the cow
without talking to the orc chieftain and thus, avoiding
trouble, but then, your cow gets killed when it decides to
attack the wild boar(killing my character in two or three
rounds every times I tried to fight it) just outside. Sure,
it's probably possible to have the cow move away enough
from the boar to not have it attack it but...
1. Cows are rarely agressive animals...
2. I doubt "Lord Lorak" would let me leave his tent with
his stolen cow, without a fight.
