Based on short story with the same title written by H. P. Lovecraft. A thick evening mist surrounds you in the forest. The road has disappeared from right under your feet. You have lost your sense of direction, lost on your journey to the Hameln City. Clouds are hanging low and thunder roar, a storm is approaching... short and scary
Spoiler!
it is little hard to kill and loot the man when the house burns down, but it only adds to atmosphere. _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

I am a big Lovecraft fan and was looking forward to this. Unfortunately, some weird bug locked me up on the second floor so I gave up on it. Maybe another time. I liked what I saw though...

I loved this module so much that I went ahead and read the story. I like how you used its quotes and added your own twist on the ending!
I wanted to get with you on a module you did previously. the Lost tomb. I have taken it and fully converted it it a PW Muliplayer addition to my PW realm. I am working some kinks out of a few other things but your quest is fully converted and working. It is to be a part of the Adventure Realms group of servers. I will post a sign giving you credit for the original works. Currently it on my server in action 0 ' Lestat's Shadow Realm server module name is AR Dalelands. _________________________ DEATH

A scripting bug on the 2nd floor, but other than that, hauntingly beautiful. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

A very promising module riddled with bugs. Disappointing, because it had alot of potential.
1) My 6th level druid managed to kill the old man upstairs before he ran off.
2)On my second (and third) try the old many runs off. But in the basement the plot seems to be broken when he tries to push me down and it fails. For some reason the character is imune to push down. He just stands there. When I talk to him the initial Dialog starts, and I freeze. Probably stuck in the cut scene code meant for the ground floor.

Forgot to vote, as I mentioned this mod really captures the underlying tone of lovecraftian horror - in addition it makes a very decent use of effects (sound as like visuals). Well written dialogues (despite some minor spelling errors) and fine script-work.

Thanks, Iskadrow and Tangent Kaufman. I am glad you enjoy my module, I hope I will have time for more moding when NWN2 is out. :)

Nice mod. Did a good job of capturing the eerie and often disturbing feel of Lovecraft's work. _________________________ "Inconceivable!"

Ah, you caught the mood of Mr. Lovecraft's stories. Really great module :)

Greetings! Enjoyed your module, great atmosphere. The only things that took away from the experience were a couple typos and the cutscene with the guy upstairs got a little funked up. Anyhow, I still liked it - short and unique, a good swift hit of NWN!

A pretty gutsy idea for a mod - using a classic piece of horror literature as the story line and place the PC in the middle of it. All in all, it drew me in and I liked it. Certainly worth the 15-20 minutes I spent playing it.
My main complaint with the mod is quality control. Little things like the map pin in the forest area saying "" instead of "Spooky House"; and floating text saying "The Old Man knock you down" instead of knocks. Then there was the biggy: after you try the stairs, there are two cutscenes. The second mis-triggered the first two times and left me hanging out in the hall in the cutscene. The triggers must have a gap where the PC can trigger the cutscene, but not the move to the encounter.
Overall, nice work. An interesting, very short mod. _________________________ El Dano Black Thorn -- a Forgotten Realms mystery adventure for levels 23-27. Mountain of Mirrors -- a classic PnP conversion for levels 4-7.

Really enjoyed it! Great adaptation of a great story. Lighting and sound that were used to add to the effect were well done.

Cool. I like that!
I hope to play more Lovecraft's modules!
I liked Shadows over Innsmouth (here in the vault) very much, did you play it? Or would you like to read my only successful attempt at near Cthulhu writing (ask [email protected] for Banish with Laughcraft).
NWN somehow makes Lovecraft shortstories work pretty interesting. I will download yours soon. Good luck to you.

15 minutes is perhaps a bit optimistic, but other than that it was great fun.
Nice to have a mod you can play when you just want a distraction: you don't have to take out a whole weekend to play this little masterpiece!
The atmosphere you created was really quite impressive, the slight red tinge and the scary music when it all went evil was great!
Keep it up.
