I've played several modules with my 18 lvl wizard (Alluvian). This is by far one of my favorites. It's not too big to bore you nor too short to say what the heck am I supposed to do. Others-I'm not much into doors that close behind you, too many traps, and the most annoying respawning over and over again right in front of you..arg! This module was definitely well thought out. It's definitely hardcore! I love the game play and the difficulty level. I wish that others would take some advice on making modules more challanging like this one is. I died a few times not realizing how strong the bosses were. But once again the game play is definitely action filled. Oh ya those crystal thingys are tough! Sheesh

Okay, I take it back - I was finally able to kill that demon lord (by running away and healing up), then I finished the rest of the module.
The henchman wasn't much help, as he got killed the first time I ran into those Asylum guards.

Yeh, this module is quite difficult. However if you were just a 13th level paladin I think you might of stood more of a chance. Also did the henchman not help at all?

Well, I tried it with my character who had just finished SoU, a 10th Level Paladin/2nd Level Rogue/1st Level Fighter.
I quickly discovered that it's quite a tough module for 13th level characters. Seeing the range of 15th - 20th, I thought she might squeeze by, but nope. She did okay until the Asylum Guards. One she chould take out okay, but two, that was tricky.
OTOH, things were easy again until Dallia. She's bloody tough. So I ran away from here. I did well at that until I ran into her boss. He I could take, probably, were it not for his fire breath. Got him down to badly wounded before he did 65 pts of fire damage, then followed up with about 20 pts of physical. That was too much.
I think a real minimum might be closer to 18th.
