This is a Wizard's Chess conversion of Bioware's chess. It has a number of new features added to it. A flag system keeps track of how many kills you have, and shows them in the order that the pieces were taken. Checkmate is a lot more dramatic. It involves a dragon, which each side possesses ;) When a person is in the lead, his corresponding fire pillar will light up. Bishops can cast spells. There are currently 4 side-specific spells that can be cast by each bishop. The area has been redesigned. It now has more of an arena feel to it (slightly new layout, new lighting, new sounds). Characters have been modified. A few have been dramatically altered (race/sex change), and almost all have been given new armor and/or weapons.
I seemed to have sorted a couple of bugs, to start with I was only getting a black dragon at the end, so I did this to the chessinc include script:-
// Make the king killable
SetPlotFlag(oFailedKing, FALSE);
//May as well create some mayhem and let everyone get whacked
//int x;
//object oPiece,oTarget;
//for (x=0;x

hmmm your feature look alright. But maybe you should think about a couple of things so other people can implent your mod into theirs. I am pointing at my own pw module i am writing. But it holds me back to use bacuse a couple of things.
1 HEARTBEAT SCRTPTS = Lose them
2 rename all script,creature with a initial like ch_filename.
if these features will be applied
I am willing to place the wizzardchess into my module
and give the nessecary credits were needed.
think about it

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 4 that made this score of 9.50.

That may be what he means.. but there is a bug that occurs
when you get the pawn to the end of the board.
When a pawn captures a piece at the end of the board, it
should be presented with the option to promote. However,
it does not. I'm looking into this right now, and Bioware
knows about it because I tossed it up on the new modules
forum.

By "en-pass pawn", I assume you mean "En passant".
En passant is used in reference to a move in chess in which
a pawn that has just completed an initial advance to its
fourth rank is captured by an opponent pawn as if it had
only moved to its third rank.
As such, you can't do en passant by moving to the last row.
No bug.

Thanks for letting me know about that. There's also a bug
with King vs King, but I can't reproduce it so I'm not sure
what the problem is. I'll try to get this worked out.

There's a bug:
When you use a pawn to capture an enemy peice as per
En-pass pawn on the last tile.
Example: One move from being able to upgrade pawn to
another type, BUT do it as part of an en-pass pawn.
You move pass the enemy peice but the script can't handle
two actions per round. I capture the enemy but the script
for changing (upgrading the pawn) becomes broken.

I did upload the new version here. It just takes several
hours to propogate (I think they have to manually approve
updates). I'll just keep all of the updates at that link
below as well and post here when I've got a new version up.

Why not upload the new version here too? You can edit this
post to include the new file instead.
