This is the second module in the Aurora City series. This module uses a modified version of Hardcore Rules, see the read me file for details. It is not necessary to play module one first, but is recommended. There is one main plot in this module, with many ways to get to the same end result. Your goal is to find the Ruins of Crimea to discover its riches and its dangers. Once henchmen reach level 5 they will only level up once you level up twice. You may have up to 3 henchmen in this mod.

Avoid!
I tried the aurora city campaign for the last time for the sake of voting. You start in a huge and ugly city (not to mention the soundtrack). The bik movie does not trigger by the way. I went here and there. Met merchants standing in front of their shop but saying they are selling at night (no kidding).
In chapter 2, I visited an island, killed about 50 "wild dogs" but something is not working because the end quest does not trigger. I did not find any boss either.

Another very good module by Agamemnon. This one picks up with Aurora City I leaves off. Minor Spoiler - Search carefully, and I don't mean in "search" mode. Some things are found only by stumbling over them.
Fun - 9, Layout/Design - 9, Dialogue - 10, Originality/Creativity - 10, Quality Control - 9, Overall - 9

Thanks for the comments Lazy. The city is a bit empty, yes. There is a reason for that. There were so many scripts running at any given time it bogged down lower end systems. I had a 1.7 gig processor when I made this, and I removed ALOT of things in order to get it to run smoothly. I had a friend check it on his 1 gig system, and he had minor slow downs. Thats where I left it. On there not being much to do, well I'm not a great scripter. If I didn't use Lilac Soul's Script Generator, I couldn't have done it at all!
I am about to finish a third unrelated module that doesn't use HCR at all, and I feel it is much more involving, even in the conversations. The new mod is called "Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold!".
Anyone interested in play testing can contact me at my e-mail.

Good, straightforward module with no apparent bugs. The HCR rules need some getting used to, especially with respect to resting, that damn magical damage getting VERY annoying after a while!
The conversations are too simplistic I find, and overall the module doesn't really involve the character that much. Since I haven't played the prologue, maybe that's the reason!
Finally, the town of Aurora is really empty in my opinion, isn't much to be done there, but since the main part of the module is a good old dungeon crawl, well rounded i have to say, maybe something should have been done around that.
Looking forward to playing this mod as I've been getting bored of nwn and been looking for something a little different. Still downloading but I will be back to vote and give some feedback when I'm done playing. _________________________ "A sword is useless in the hands of a coward" - Nichiren Daishonin

The city is pretty barren, and the mod could really use a player's guide, but the dungeon crawl is really fun. I'd hate to play this as a solo spell-caster (given the HCR), but as a fighter with a decent supporting cast it was very engaging.

Cool mod, thought the main quest was interesting but was bummed out that there weren't many side-quests. Never a fan of the HCR sleep system-- why not let players maintain or not maintain realistic sleeping patterns? In all mods I only have my characters sleep when they are in a legit place to rest-- i.e. not in the middle of an orc camp. Forcing players to run all the way to a particular room in a particular inn is just tedious. Why not just let them sleep where they are with the understanding they went to the inn? Much less cumbersome. Overall a good job, though.

An interesting mod with strengths and weaknesses. I thought the dungeon crawl at the end was great, although there was a bit too much loot (at the same time, that's part of what made it fun-- and it makes sense that there'd be tons of stuff in a ruins that hasn't been explored in centuries). On the downside, there's a massive city with no quests-- seemed sort of pointless (could have had a less cumbersome town just as easily). The HCR was pretty annoying with sleeping restrictions, but I do like the need to eat and drink. The lack of healing kits made me glad my character had brought some in from another mod. Anyhow, good work overall, I'd definitely play a sequel if one is ever made!

The series deserves a 10 :)

Lot of fun but a bit too easy. Perhaps too much loot and xp around: my rogue/sd killed the balrog with 4 light xbow shots!
Anyway, I really hope you'll release the next chapter.

Well.... if I could get the vote thing to work, I'd do it.. we'll see.
I've played this little baby since you first posted it, and I feel it is an extremely strong module. The HCR limits its appeal, maybe; but then, that's part of what I like about it.
I'll kick this version of the city around and see what happens.
Thanks for the kudo's. I wish there were more people out there who liked tough/challenging mods. To anyone who plays either of my mods, please rate them.

Played and really enjoyed. Quality was excellent. Good as BioWare!

There will be no module 3 at this time due the lack of support, and no one rating these modules.
