Description
This is the revised version of my priorly posted 'The New Prelude'. You are a retired U.S. Navy chief that has suddenly found himself in Faerun, and have received a summons from a Lady Aribeth de Tylmarande to help save her city. As in the first version, this expands the Bioware original, adds Christian content, and ignites the romance.

Well it seems interesting but can make it to other classesnot only 4 paladins?
And US navy officer who retired? Well I'm not american and it sound like a joke... If you can help me I wanna rewrite or if you do it maybe better. Well my idea is : I was a Bhaalspawn and i got my way back to Faerun so Aribeht or somebody heard my deeds in thee Baldur's Gate Series .I have to think more on the basic story but if you would help me I' appreciate that. For example every class will find class specific items in the boxes....

The long-delayed "Aribeth's Dilemma" has been submitted for posting. It has seen more updates and revisions than I can count, and has been tested by stalwart bug-hunters in the USA, France, and New Zealand. Have no idea what the time interval is between submitting and posting. Theme is the same, much more content, and far more playable.
As for "Aribeth and the Creatures" (revised ch1), that is getting the same treatment, so will be a while. It is shaping up as a 5 module integrated cluster, so will take time and work to get to run properly. _________________________ My dear friend C.S. I wrote quite a while back too noname z. All I can say is that I TRULY wish I could play the rest of the mods (if any were made) to continue with the game!! I truly enjoyed the "improved" Prelude of NWN. I SO LOVED to be able to slam that good-for-nothing Desther in his place! Excellent mod Poltava! A big 10 for you. I have been trying to search for the continuing portion that you mentioned (in your last post here), and can't seem to find it...HELP!! I really want to continue this game!!

An update on what is going on: The module has been greatly revised and expanded (~6 hours now), with considerable aid from Barlog the Great and Attalus. Once it passes all testing it will be posted under its new name, "Aribeth's Dilemma". Chapter 1 rewrite essentially complete, but is needing tuning to bring it up to "Dilemma" standard. It, too, has been renamed and is now "Aribeth and the Creatures". Since the game is as much about Aribeth as it is saving Neverwinter, I thought it better to make the change. I really liked this module. I hope you keep this up :) Made me want to play a male PC (something I've never bothered with too much in NWN till now) The only thing that I didn't really like and was able to ingore for the most was all the riglous stuff. I know its part of the plot etc but it was getting a bit much at times and making the PC sound way too much like a TV avanglist. But that's my only real niggle and something I could most likely put up with providing the rest of your redone ch1 is as good. And getting to rough up Dresther was worth it!! :D So any idea when the redone ch1 will be out??

An update incorporating revisions based on comments to date is in progress. As suspected, providing full service choice with all attendent changes is beyond available resources. However, armor variants for each of the services has been added to the basic set. That's 15 more to choose from. A pre-attack mini quest with Aribeth has also been added. Devin Blackmoon, RentACop: Am looking into revisions based on your points. The service choice will be the hardest to implement as it involves redoing all dialogues where there is a service reference and where the PC uses service specific terminology. Rank choice is not do-able in view of 19 pay grades for 3 of the 5 services, and at least 17 for the other 2. The amount of work may not justify the change, particularly with 8 modules in various stages of construction.
Niliau: Two questions. First, what game version are you running, and in what language? The module was written in 1.29, English (USA). Version 1.62 reads some coding differently than 1.29/1.30 does, as covered in the "read me". Have heard from other writers that foreign editions of the game also read some things differently than the USA version, and that is something I can't test for. Second question, what are the specific problems? Bug stomping is a lot easier when one knows where the critters are. Anything that got through 2 full final tests (1.29 & 1.62) plus innumerable preliminary tests deserves special attention, but I need to know what and where.

I've downloaded and played a little of this mod. From what I've seen, there seems to be a lot of broken triggers in events and some early conversations with Aribeth. I hope you can look into this so that the mod will be a bit more playable.

'US Navy'... would Aribeth really fall in love with a gay man... it has become common knowledge to the rest of the world that the US Navy is queer...
Should put in a choice where the PC can choose his favorite branch of the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) and perhaps rank, though Navy's a good start
