This is the first module in the 'Legacy of Daggerdale' campaign which is a plot-driven story based around the Daggerdale area of the FR. Each module is designed to be a relatively short, self-contained 'episode' that string together over the entire series. The tale opens in the small village of White Chalk Hollow which lies about a day's ride west of Dagger Falls. A strange sickness is affecting the village's animals, something that is of grave concern to a village whose whole economy is based upon farming. As a citizen of the town, you are asked to investigate the illness. Takes characters from 1st to 2nd level. Please read the 'READ ME' for more details. Version 1.20 FINAL
Interesting mod. Most of the combat is not too difficult for lvl 1 PC. Although some combat may be hard, it could be done by planning carefully. The shortcoming are 1) lack of map pin and 2) some of the dialouge options (quest related) disappear forever it the PC doesn't choose it at the first time. _________________________ Overlooked Module Report February 2009 | Master List | Forum Thread Academy of Modding Excellence Romance Module List Horror Module Collection Starlight's favorite module list

This module is exceptional. The creators have obviously paid considerable attention to details often ignored, examples of this being that my dwarvenb characters father was a dwarf, but my human characters father was a human. The areas are well designed, and the town is beleivably large, but not unnessecarily so. The dialouge is somewhat limited, however. I played through initially as a dwarven character, and I found that I did not seem to receive and additional conversation options, either when talking to dwarves, or when someone was bad-mouthing the dwarves. In fact, I still had the option to agree with them. Whilst I can appreciate that module is geared to make the character feel a part of the town, this did seem somewhat lacking to me. Also, I had the option to tell people I was looking on the behalf of Father Fryar before I had spoken with him. This did not seem intentional. Nevertheless, I consider this an excellent use of the toolkit, to create a module that is well defined and interesting. Making an interesting game that involves little combat and is centered around low level characters is quite an acheivement as too many people seem to believe that a boring module can be made more interesting by upping the power levels.

This is the kind of module that really makes me enjoy being first level. I mean, there's a lot of 1st level mods out there, but this one really makes me feel like I'm a starting adventurer who is struggling to do good in his own little part of the world. Great dialogue, and despite the lack of action, quite entertaining. THanks for the good time :)
