Having uncovered the cause of the sickness, but not the motivation nor who is behind it, the PCs journey to the neighboring village of Teshmere in the hopes of finding a cure. There the intrigue grows. Takes characters from 2nd to 3rd or 4th level. This is the second module in the 'Legacy of Daggerdale' campaign which is a plot-driven story-based around the Daggerdale area of the FR. Each module is designed to be a relatively short, self-contained 'episode' that string together over the entire series. Please read the 'READ ME' for more details. Requires 'Dungeonlike Dungeon by Velmar' hakpack. (DD2) is the sequel to '(DD1) Dwarves in the Woodwork' and picks up where the first module left off. Playing (DD1) first is HIGHLY recommended since the storyline assumes you have. Version 1.26. PLEASE NOTE: The latest version requires NWN v1.27 or later because it utilizes the new rat models.

Well, I waited a second part to be better than the first, but unfortunately ... _________________________ Everything you do has a meaning...

Quest giving dialogue is given even after quest is completed.
Some outdated scripting. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Avoid. Game (scripts) probably broken. Story unfinished (no DD3).
Sorry to say but DD1 is still worth is 8.xx rating, DD2 is worth barely half that score.
I completed all quests in DD1. Here, I did not complete much even after starting the game over to reset some variables.
As hmdai mentioned, dialogue option (and important clues including some journal entry updates) may disappear forever it the PC doesn't choose it the first time.
Area Design is odd. Went everywhere before finding the town center. As a result I got a bunch of quests backward.
* Spoilers *
Some quests do not (seems to) advance (missing stargazer) and others have an odd completion trigger (e.g. never found the remains of a guy despite the fact that the NPC said something like "find my remains and collect your reward" instead some important figure in the inn triggered some XP and journal update).
Once I went to see Andy again I could net the proper conversation related to his Uncle. The guy was in front of of me but I would have to go back to ask the kids where he is.
After starting over I got the special map, visited the house with the dying guy (found no telescope and no stargazer). Even visited the secret area that have nothing to do with the main quest (at least I got to see what the hak was for).
BTW, to watch the stars one would go to a mountain (a place with no lights and a clear view of the sky). I was expecting a tower or something.

I had a problem with one quest, finding Andy. I found him before getting the quest to look for him, so my journal didn't update. The layout of the areas made me a little tired. I felt that the maps should had been smaller or better designed. Some sub-quests were a little tedious but I liked the one with the haunted-house. Overall, it was a good sequel, too bad there's not a part 3, the story had potential.

I really enjoyed this module and DD1. I was hoping to find a third. ALAS and ALAK! I wish we didn't have to leave the Sage to her fate with the Zhentarim.

Enjoyed the low magic/low treasure feeling. I would have loved to see this series continue, but as it stands, the player ends up feeling pretty empty after these two modules. The story doesn't really get much anywhere, yet. The two-mod "introduction" (DD1 & DD2) is intriguing, though.
There were some relatively serious bugs, it seemed to me. I couldn't all of the quests (the rats in the cellar, and the chap who had gone fishing).
The area design isn't quite up to the standards of today, I thought.
A minor note... The murders had taken place in 1340s. That didn't seem to match the official timeline very well. If that was 30 years ago, it would be 1379 DR in the module, if I rightly recall. But that doesn't fit at all with the situation in Daggerdale - the Zhents, Randal, etc. But that's a very minor point, of course! These worries would become groundless, if a certain chap said "about ten years ago" instead of "30 years ago"... ;)
All in all, it was nevertheless an enjoyable little module. Why not try building the series again for NWN2? :)

Very good mod. It is really a pity this series didn't get the attention it deserved. Little details and mini-quests are all very interesting. I really liked the Mccray quest. The ending is not very rewarding though, and there is some wandering around trying to figure out what to do. But I for one would like to the next module in the series... unfortunately, this seems unlikely.
