Description
- 1.01 Release! -
Following the incident in the mines, you have agreed to carry out a trade mission for the Queen of the City in the Sky. Your journey will take you to Myrkford, a gloomy city where it constantly rains. But dark forces are at work behind the scenes... Will you realise what's happening before it's too late?
This is a diplomatic mission, not a dungeon crawl. Expect lots of dialogue (40,000 words!), multiple solutions to puzzles, and little combat.
Your quest continues with the henchman selected in the first adventure. Different henchmen react differently to situations! Decisions made in this and the previous episode WILL affect the developing plot, sometimes in unexpected ways...
HAKPAK NOTE - Apparently the 'Lisa SoU Only' hak below is now linking to the proper Hordes hak, with instructions on how to use it for people who don't have Hordes. So just use that one. As best I can tell it is the version I built this with.
Excellent mod, I have not come across a mod (or even game) with as good roleplaying and party member interaction in a long while. This definitely ranks up high with me.

OK. How the heck do I romance Armand. Only remotely romantic thing he said to me was on that ball. I'm playing elven neutral good bard level 7, we talked about his past, the beds (I told him he was an equal and we can take shifts), the bathhouse (I didn't go in)... Please help

Small and a little bit outdated, but no less great for all that. It's a downright tragedy that the third chapter of this series will likely never see the light of day.

I'm a little sad that this series will most likely never be finished, because it ends with a poignant cliffhanger--and a lot of promise. Visiting the city of Myrkford was quite fun, though not without it's annoyances. The goods you are supposed to trade in town are so heavy that they are not really that manageable until you get a bag of holding for free in one quest. You need 1000 gold just to get into the city--if you don't have it, you are out of luck (!). That was a bad design design--you'd think the queen would have at least known to give you the necessary funds to actually ENTER the city. Luckily, I used the handy dm_givegold command to get around this. Also, one plot point required that my PC visit a seamstress, but her place in town is the only important building *not* marked on the map. I had to peek into the toolset to find out where it was. Combat is few and far in between as to be almost irrelevant. What is fun, though, is taking your time to explore the city and do some side quests for people. My PC successfully began a romance with Armand, and I found him to be surprisingly romantic for a laconic and rather strait-laced man. His comments to me at the ball (another nice touch) were quite sweet.

Perfect little mod for anyone who has always wanted to play a bard.

All I can say is, wow. Just finished the mods now and I couldn't believe it when I searched for teh third one only to find it hasn't been made! It would definitly be a great shame if you didn't even consider doing the next part, it's truly too good a series to leave unfinished.
