I'd say the stated 50-75 hours is a bit of an over estimation... more like around 20ish unless you're going to go hunting for every little detail

Wow I can't believe people are still falling for this a couple of years on! Take it lightheartedly people - I love the BG series more than anyone. On a more serious note; now that my designing skills have improved I would be happy to work on a REAL BG module if a skilled scripter will join his/her sword to the cause. Hey you know what... I never got round to making the other mods that Baldur mentioned. Could probably make all of them in five minutes and I am incredibly bored.
One more thing thats bugging my +blocked+ off; If anyone here remembers a series of mods named A Call For Heroes by a guy called aulslime or something like that can they gimme a few pointers on where to locate them cause they're not in the mod vault nomore.

Regardless of what the "real" gamers say, that was very amusing. They could have avoided "disappointment" if they'd bothered reading your description and looking at the filesize; both made it incredibly obvious that this was nothing more than a joke.

I laughed heartily when I approached the gate and saw Baldur standing next to it. Nice job.

And in reference to the BG mod stuff, I'm willing to work on one, as long as you have a good scripter who can make the things that happened in BG and BGII and BGII: ToB happen in the mod. Please e-mail me if you want my help.

In reference to the previous 3 posts, a friend of mine and I have been working on a Baldur's Gate conversion for almost 10 months now. We have broken the game into 4 modules and even included Durlags tower. It has been a massive undertaking. Even more so because other than this I have only made one mod (Tallanvor's Pride) and this is my partners first. The real hang up was waiting for the CEP to make use of some of the content. Now that it is out we have begun working full time again. Two of the Mods (the Nashkell and southern areas and the Candlekeep portion) are ready for play testing and we have some folks lined up to do just that. We are only covering the first game. If a group wants to tackle Shadows/TOB then I'd like to help but we will not attempt it ourselves. As for BG, I'm not sure when we will have it ready to post on the vault, but I think it will be sooner rather than later.

most people here seem to think that a real BG module would be good....so do I. I think that a load of people should get together and make the modules for the whole of the forgotten realms. there are maps out there, and Neverwinter could just be copied, also we could just copy Icewind Dale and Baldur's gate etc. directly from the game. If people agrre with me I think you should post here, and maybe if we get enough people to agree we could make something all together.

I agree with PSych0, people really should make moduels like that. i would love to see a baldur's gate: dark alliance moduel. It's really not that hard to make, just copy off the maps and make the conversations and quests and there you go.
