Description
You are on death row in the Trailsend, Damara jail. You have only a few days before you are to be executed. There will be up to four prisoners on death row with you. Challenge: survive. This is a multiplayer DM-only mod. Each player comes up with a character background, including why they are on death row. Condensed from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting: 'Trailsend is a Large City of 14,116 run by Baron Donlevy. Trailsend is usually the first city that visitors to Damara see, several businessses cater solely to finding unusual employment for adventurers.' Trailsend is a trading crossroads. Your character can be from anywhere, have done anything. If you don't know the Forgotten Realms setting, don't worry, what's above is all you need to know. PCs run by players will all be level 3. Permanent death. Bleeding rules in effect. Limited resting. Because of the scenario, this is for mature roleplayers only. Extensive DM notes included with the module.

Version 3.1 is being uploaded; in the final area, the OnEnter script had some extra brackets sneak in, with the result that PCs were being killed on entry (not good). Now fixed and tested.

You probably want to be careful who's face you throw glass in too. Atleast thats what I learned from playing this mod.

I've played this mod, and it is a very intense role playing session. The fact that it is DM run certainly ensures that this is the case. Your own background may (will?) come back to haunt you, as well as those of the people you find yourself sharing a cell with.
Great work Carlo!

This mod is great. The situation and setting is very creative and you, as DM, can take the story in almost any direction from there, tying in PC backstories to make it an intense and personal experience. Fabulous work!

Having played this mod previously, I must say it's very simple in design, but extremely deep in execution. It allows players to really "push the envelope" with their character histories, and allows players from different backgrounds interact with one another in a harsh and potentially environment. I had just as much fun seeing how the other players roleplayed their characters as I did playing my own. It's the perfect game for a small get together when players are sitting around and want a fun, somewhat quick game. Time depends mostly on the DM, which is nice also.

This is a DMO (DM-only) "Stage" type module, intended to be customized each time it is run. The setting is provided for you and the module itself can be run "out of the box" without toolset customization, although that adds a great deal of spice, especially with NPCs. Extensive DM notes are included.
"Desperate Measures" was originally developed as the first module in a roleplay challenge series at the TORIL PW (link in description).
