You are on death row. You have only two days before you are to be executed. There are up to four others on death row with you. Challenge: survive. This is a multiplayer DM-only module that is designed to be customized for each session. The default setting is Trailsend, Damara in the Forgotten Realms; the DM can change this as desired. Trailsend is a trading crossroads. Your character can be from anywhere, have done anything. Permanent death. Bleeding rules in effect. Limited resting. Because of the scenario, this is for mature roleplayers only. Extensive DM notes included with the module, along with a player guide and designer notes.
The main download package has now been updated to DMFI version 109. The primary change is that the module now includes DMFI Wands & Widgets package version 1.09, which allows for much easier and more powerful customization of NPCs and items by the DM while in-game, no toolsetting required. Accompanying documentation has also been revised.
Since I was preparing a for a session of Desperate Measures on Neverwinter Connections, I decided to update the module to include the latest DMFI Wands and Widgets package. The previous version (which only requires SoU) is still available for download.
Steve - good question on the rating. Because of the base scenario (the PCs will be executed if they don't escape), and the fact that either the DM or the players will likely introduce mature themes into the scenario related to the PCs' crimes, I went with the mature rating.
Because this is a DM-only module, it's very easy for DMs to run it or modify it however they choose. However, it was originally intended to be a gritty, no-holds-barred type of roleplay experience.
It should be noted that Bioware patch 1.64 broke the DM's ability to move groups by drawing a box around them and then using shift+click. Until Bioware fixes this (who knows when), recommend the DM describe in-game any movements planned, then jump the relevant PC and escorting NPCs to their destination. Also recommend this be explained to the players in the pre-game orientation, so everyone understands the deal.
Regarding the question about a Winzip version - WinRAR is a far superior compression utility, both (IMO) in terms of use and (objectively true) the compression ratio. Admittedly, with a module this size, it's not as important, but it would be as much or more of a hassle for me to switch back to .zip compression, than it would be for those interested to download the free WinRAR program.
I hope if you're interested in DMing this (or having someone DM it for you), you'll take a look, the extra few minutes spent on downloading a better compression utility is worth it. Promise. Not biased, really. ;)

I wish you had a version for winzip. I'm intrigued by this mod, but I don't want to deal with another program with an evaluation period. Is it possible to make it self-extracting?

I was recently made aware that there is a bug with the script attached to the prisoner's chair in the interrogation room, which may have occurred as a result of patch 1.62. I will fix this and upload a revised module by the end of May. In the meantime, DMs are warned not to use the chair.

The best DMed one shot I ever played. Incredible roleplay module design, excellent DM notes and much room for creative DMing.
This is the version updated for SoU/1.61, with some additional features:
-- Reorganized and much more extensive DM Notes
-- Player Guide and Designer Notes now included
-- Reworked script base for bleeding/dying/resting rules
-- A few additional scripted features designed to assist DMs
File was compressed with WinRAR, available at Link
