Welcome to the Lion's Head Tavern. This module is a great place to go to in between adventures. Just finished Neverwinter or one of its expansions? Want to kick the Creators of Baldur's Gate/Bioware/Atari/Wizards of the Coast/Ed Greenwood in the nuts because you just got a whole lot of bitchin' items and can't sell them 'cause those pricks just ended the game right on your face? Want to go to a place where everybody knows your name?(tm) Then the Lion's Head Tavern is THE place for you. Go sell the items you couldn't sell because the game was over when you killed the final boss. Go socialize with lots of old - and new - friends. Well, not that many anyway. In fact you'll be lucky if you can just have a nice conversation with someone. You might even get yourself killed. Who cares?'Tis all in good fun.

Instant way to get some good heavy armor. A couple issues.
1) The hidden door to your house needs fixing. You can get in, but not back out.
2) I think the armor for the fighter and from the giant should be renamed. They're named "full plate" and something either with haste and freedom, or sneak attack and critical hit immunity is more than just a full plate.
The paladin's armor was titled fine.
This mod is a good way to get some excellent heavy armor! _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Thanks,

Hm. I have not tried it yet, but it seems promising. Just what I was looking for, infact...

Leave your opinions. I made it a final release because every essential thing is there, but if you like the module I might be bothered to make the town bigger, with more characters and more stuff (steam baths and heated pools to rest and relax after a a hard day of killing come to mind).

Actually, this module wasn't even supposed to have story. It was to be only a tavern, - hence the name - but then I thought it'd be better to make a (really) small village. The quest is just a little bonus, to be done only once, that's why it's a bit hidden, so as not to bother people everytime they enter the module coming from another adventure, it's really nothing special. It was really supposed to have only interaction with the NPCs and not much else. The wackiness started there actually, as I found myself unable to make a conversation without attempting at something funny. I guess it went out of control.
About the usefulness - I added everything I wanted to do. Boozing, hookering, eating, sleeping (in that order), a bookshelf with all the books in the game, a chest with a few unusual items, then added a shop and a levelup point.
Initially, the module was to be only for myself, as you can see by the items that I added to the module - I mostly play with Paladins and Fighters. Then I decided to uploaded, but never thought I'd get this many downloads (250 at the time of writing - thanks, people).
As to the secret stashes - what adventurer wouldn't save a few gems for a rainy day? ;)

Hm, this is a bit akward. I myself am working on a fairly similar concept, a "waystation" mod. So I have my own take on what something like this should function as. You've made more story in your mod than what I plan, and I like how you create a place with a bit of character to it, but I don't think you go nearly far enough. You have one hack n' slash quest that offers a lot of loot but not much else, so it rests on the NPC interaction and other features of the town to carry this mod. I'd like to see a bit less of the wackiness and secret stashes and more of the "usefulness" in a mod of this type. I hope you continue to work on in, it's a decent start.

How about some voting and/or comments, people? I'd like your opinion on the module.

Worked like a charm.
Thanks.

Well, actually the file is a .RAR self-extracting file, so if you change its extension to .RAR it might just work. Let me know after you try.

Thank you.
I am unfamiliar with ACE but either .ZIP or .RAR would be good.

I can make it available in zip, rar, or ace format, does any of these work on mac or linux?

Edgar_the_Peaceful:
Your module looks fun and interesting. Would you please provide it in a non .exe format for Linux and Mac users?
Thanks,
Arcane Rhino
