(Version 1.04: A big thank to Ginni, which already revised a part of the translation in this version.) This module is the updated bilingual version (english and german) of my module: "Das Lied der Götter", which was originally released in November 2004.
Description : Being the leading actor of the crisis-ridden Mathiny-Theatre, thankfully your popularity among the female audience does not suffer much from the notorious lack of coin in your purse. And, being a clever guy and all, solving the mystery surrounding the fire that destroyed the old theatre and plunged Mathiny, the owner, into quite a plight, shouldn't pose too great a problem, right? But sometimes the Lady Luck lets down even her most favored ones and so, together with an audacious young lady of noble rank, you will be setting out to hurl yourself into adventures taking you to the most strange and dangerous places...
"The Song Divine " is a module for bards that puts great emphasis on conversations, skill use and puzzles, still there will be quite a few times when battles will need to be fought and the sword will need to be mightier than the pen.
(People who dislike some sexual content should download and install the nosex_rar)

Perhaps you have something in the override? If the conversation goes, can you use the captains ship to travel?

Trying to summon the captain doesn't seem to work. You just get some generic guard. You can, however, directly run the scripts that would have been run in the course of the conversation. Specifically, runscript kc_verhaften runscript kc_exp350 and runscript sv_hauptmann3 then go to the theatre you started in to continue.

A really lovely module. It was nice to have a experience catered to a bard and I got a got a good sense of not just the central character, but many of the NPC's aswell. The overall story was also engaging. Really enjoyable.

I found this module a real pleasure to play, true, the story is linear and I was never sure that my choice of option dialogue with Isabell made much difference to the evolution of the romance, but it was a lot of fun. I don't normally play bard but it was enjoyable to go through the theatrical background and adventure as a "Skillful Minstrel" Bd/F/RDD and it wasn't difficult to get through the combat or skill checks. Of course I would have liked the mod to be longer and hold out hope for a sequel! Vielen Danke to all concerned especially for providing such an eloquent English translation. _________________________ Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't coming back; Burn the land, boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me

Jean-Marc, you are yourself a poet ;)! Thanks for the beautiful words.

I simply loved it. Not only bard is probably my favorite class, and this module is a true bard story, being to the bard class what " A dance with rogues " is at the rogue one, but, beside, it's got so many very creative and beautiful ideas and pure role-play story-lines I never saw before. Already, the quite unusual choosing of music, through such a subtle and most poetical quest for the ultimate power of the divine song, is such an essential and stunning scheme into the NWN world of module writing. This ballad could lied oups! sorry, lead you so far away if you only allow yourself to go with the flow. Your flow. Das Lied der Götter... I feel the title is even nicer in german. It's like a perfume, a river. Thanks to the translators, sensitive enough to realize the piece had something special which was much worth their effort to offer it to us. And thanks to you, Ute! _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Is that like Supergod or something?", from "Citadel" "M?not shr this ishych u g?dea.", from "Prophet" series

Here is what I did and it worked fine. I moved aside from my NWN directory: 1 ) the override folder itself, playing with none, not even an empty one 2 ) the cep1patch153.hak file And... I was finally able to see this famous captain Rolan! And I hope the graveyard keeper as well, for later. Now, I should have a nice time through that interesting story. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? As I never actually saw that captain, the only real clue I got of him is through the city guards dialogs, who advice me anytime I speak with them to go see a certain Captain " Strabo " at the Guardhouse; Probably just some translation mixed up. Your english is more than good enough for a french to understand it! Ah, ah! :-) Too bad, I love your piece, and bard is my favorite class. I already tried trashing the override folder. Nop! I'm pretty sure I have 1,53 installed among all of the other CEP I could find and never had any problem so far with any module... only recently, with another 1,53 one...! I'm playing NWN 1,68 so that could be the problem... I'll ask around at the module section. Those guys are masters... but nice... I've been reading some other people ran into the same exact problem. Including the warden at the graveyard I badly wanna play this bard of yours. Could I maybe just debug-spawn him and would it work? _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? I have tested this, and Captain Rolan stands in the city guard near his desk, absolut correctly ;). If nothing more content is in override, there is, actually, no reason, why he is not there. It`s very strange.
