Description
You are the Hero of the Neverwinter Nights Official Campaign. After your triumph over Morag and the Source Stones, you are cheered and saluted everywhere you go. Now, however, a new adventure awaits you in the roads ahead... Following the climatic events at the end of 'The Fall of a Champion', Faerun has been plunged into turmoil. Quick to announce your death at her hands, the Dragon of Mystery has assembled her Dark Armies to conquer the principle city of Beraal. Their path to victory seems clear for if even the fabled Hero of Neverwinter has fallen, who would dare challenge her might? In 'The Legend of a Champion', the stirring conclusion to the Hero of Neverwinter Saga, the fate of Faerun hangs in the balance amid the spectre of impending doom. The Hero of Neverwinter must again overcome impossible odds and rise to face the might and terror of the Dragon of Mystery and her legions of Dark Armies. A new legend will be forged right here...
There should be a portal which appears after you smashed ALL the mirrors. I think it is in the west wing of the 'cross'... try it;)

I smashed all the mirrors, but there's no way out of that place... :(

Which brings me to this announcement: I have finished the remaking of "Fall of a Champion"! Check it out! Here's a synopsis, in case it's not out in the vault yet: ********************************************************* You are the Hero of the Neverwinter Nights Official Campaign, a legend amongst legends... Now, a new adventure awaits you in the roads ahead... In 'The Fall of a Champion', rumours of a new Tower of Doom sets you off to Beraal, a bustling city in southern Faerun. What sinister evil awaits you there? "Venture into the Underdark!": The new theme of the 'The Fall of a Champion' brings the Hero of Neverwinter to an adventure down into the depths of the notorious Underdark! The entire module has been remade to present a totally new story and experience! More cutscenes, more party conversations, more adventuring and more battles! Plus, there is even a new henchman to tag along! "Of Mellow Hearts and Sailed Ships": The story of the Hero of Neverwinter is extended in this new optional quest, "Of Mellow Hearts and Sailed Ships", a tragic tale of love and hate in a town near the capital city of Beraal. Your decisions will change lives! ********************************************************* Hope you will try it out!

Thanks for the suggestion, afscorpio123. I'll try and see whether to modify the dragon's stats. By the way, glad you enjoyed this series!

Just finished your series and overall I thought it was good. Some parts were much easier than others. I thing you might want to check: Spoiler When I fought the dragon I was able to get a rather cheap victory. i used Black blade of disaster and the dragon failed his save( rolled a 1) and instantly died after doing minimal damage. The dragon should probably be immune to such things but not sure if you noticed this problem. Thanks for a good series. afscorpio

Denko, Thanks for the comments... I can understand ur frustration...It was very hard to balance up the difficulty when i was creating this mod.. Since I have not much DnD core rules basics (I've just bought the core ruleset and trying to learn it now..) what I did was to try out the fights with all the different pre-generated classes...what I realized was that certain classes had a much tougher time against one foe than the other classes. At times, it was really frustrating as the character hardly does any damage against the foe, and gets killed way to easily... Some classes, however, just cruise through the fight without breaking a sweat! One way I tried to balance this is by giving the player lots and lots of booster equipment (especially for the final fight). As for the guy in the castle, if you explored the area before confronting him, you would find 2 boosters at either side of the hall. One is a statue which heals you up, the other is a mirror which increases your abilities. I hoped that these two boosters would even up the battle a bit... It will still be a tough fight, no doubt, because Jian Wang is a master swordsman after all.. and the prize from defeating him is the all powerful Amulet of Faerun, also another tool designed to help out in battles... Throw me a vote if you're free..Thanks!

An overall nice hackn'n'slash module to play on; good design, nice ending for the good alignement, some challenging fights... Something annoyed me, tough, the npcs with d-crit like 38 dc when my fort save was 16... it was the blackguard I think, and that evil guy in the castle. This last one really pissed me off. I played a monk, and since he had 100 % bludgeoning resistance, I could only dammage him with my gloves 1d6 sonic dammage and I had to respawn like 10 times to beat him. It was silly. And the last fight wasnt anything of a challenge, since the lord of faerun kept casting spells over and over, that my SR stopped until he was killed. But I guess this kind of thing is hard to fix.

My advice is not yours ! The XP gained is really too high and I think it is stolen ! My Epic Ranger takes 2 levels for a play of 2 hours max. It is up too high. The rewards for the quests are already important. So the kills don't need to give so many XP. Lord Nikinas is a true hero, he takes the Good option ;)

Jess_, Thanks for telling me about the XP Scale! I felt that the PC deserves extra XP for some of the hard-fought battles. Yes, it may seem high, but i think you guys deserve it! SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . The alternate ending can be accessed when you are given the option to choose your stance against the Lord of Faerun. If you choose to leave (Neutral ending), the Good cutcene will be played. If you choose to be defeat evil from Faerun, you will see the Good ending too, only it is slightly different than the Neutral one (watch what Isendur says to you in the cutscene). If you choose to be a God, you will see the Evil ending, which is totally different! Which have you seen? . . . . . . . . . END SPOILERS Hear from you soon! Thanks again :)
