Awesome! The (extensive) use of narration was very nice.

I enjoyed the story, but am not a huge fan of the micro-managed XP awards. Still, this one is a keeper....

I liked this module very much; The narrative is very good, but I was a bit surprised with the sudden ending. I hope pt2 will be out soon.

Why is this mod here? But perhaps I should write why they are not, but a link to Bioware's to buy them and a thread amongst the real custom mods? This is my humble opinion, but I see no sense in these 'premium modules' to be listed here, in the custom mods section, like if they were three more of them. Further, I see completely unfair they can be voted as everyone else's (uninterested fan's) mods. I mean: 1- They are not custom mods (pehaps at first in the idea or conception they were), but official (or 'premium', wathever you prefer call them) ones, made by Bioware, and as such they have been made with access to features all nwn modders are denied. Official, yes, as misteriously a reference for download (I mean, buy, as they have already corrected this) them in your game's menu. If they can be here, why not to put also mod threads for the three OCs? It would made sense then... 2- They are not free. You have to buy them to play them. They have not been made by fans willing to share they work for everybody's enjoyment, but for profit. Custom mods are open for everyone, but these only for whoever pays for them. And by the way, WW is not free, you have to buy other -SG- (and being a remake of a free mod, why not to make it available as a free demo of the premiums? But this is another question). The facts of checking conection and being curious-proof locked are a good indicative of money being the priority. This lead to the same last consideration as in 1-. 3- Though their overall quality compared to other ones may (by the user's -not pro 'reviewer's'- critics, and my experience with the Vault's mods, I guess it is) questionable, it surely lacks extensive and rare bugs, as the makers are not 'amateur' ones, but the ones who are in the developer part and best know the tool. Point this bug-free feature as something good in respect to other mods is quite absurd because its obviousness. 4- Not informing the buyer that they are not finished (at least in the case of WW and SG) is a very annoying thing. I supose there will be sequels (paying again, perhaps?), but if Bioware's thoughts were that people would eagerly buy them to follow the adventures, they could find just the opposite, as many people doesn't like to feel swindled. 'Amateur' builders generally state if its work is part of a series in the fist mod of them, so everybody can expect the story not to en in the mod to continue in another one to come. 5- They do not add nothing new. You can not open the mods to learn something you can use in yours, nor you can modify them in order to make them more your tastes. This is something you can do with nearly most of real fan-made mods, a thing that many modders and dms pehaps never will thank so much as they deserve. Of course, Bioware deserves a lot too by the toolset and the possibilities which allows to us, but these premium mods perhaps do not deserve this recognition as they are securely 'closed'. Though it is so to ensure payment, 6- They force you to to abide by (let's say) martial law. Of couse this means less cost for them for no CD, but, aside for being denied to open them with the toolset, you are also criminalised as a potential pirate, as the BW servers check every time you load a game that you have paid. This checking can be very annoying, mainly for people with a slow speed connection. Of course, if they are annoyed, it is their problem for not to have more money or age to afford themselves a better or more stable one, or moving to another country with better cable. And pray BW servers not to go down while you are playing... No other mod in the Vault force you to this dependence and show such a distrust towards the player. 7- They do not translate these mods. This could not be a problem for some not native English speaking people who knew the language, but it is a lack of consideration to a lot of thousands NwN fans who do not. Of course, Atary can not be blamed this time for the international distribution. Could it be to avoid costs, perhaps, saving the investments in make them available to that 'poor people of abroad'? Of course, most of the mods in the vault are only in English, but you can or not download them, as you like. BUT you are not receiving continuously advertisements by e-mail (I don´t call them spam YET) nor a link (in my language, not in English, is odd, isn´t it?) to buy them that self-installs in your game though it is very clear (at least for the patches downloader) that the version is NOT the English one... If a mod maker only know his/her native tongue, is perfectly OK to make mods in it, but if you are a company with the capabilities (you have made it the OCs)... Of course, translation salaries = less profit, but as they presume of the quality of the premiums, a minimum request could be to have used them here too. I am sure that a fan made mod that in its mod description at first would mock of those who didn´t speak his/her tongue, saying the author could have translated his mod, but he has not done it because you, as don't speak his/her tongue, do not deserve his/her time and brains, would (or should) not be very welcome in this Vault. It could seem an extreme comparision, but many people feel quite irritated by what every time can be seen more as a BW's scorn towards we these 'second rate' NwN fans. 8- At last, the intensive advertisement saturation in BW site and other commercial webs about the premiums. A custom mod depends on it's author's abilities for popularity. If it is good, and mainly if the more people like it, it will rise to become wider known, and eventually it will enter the Hall of Fame. These premium mods don´t meet these qualifications, as they are advertised, supported, and sold by a game (its) international developer. For these considerations, I think they should not be here. At least, they should be *clearly* categorised as something such OFFICIAL, PROFESSIONAL or NOT FREE mods (as this mostly derives in the radical differences with the others), and be made not possible to vote them, at least in the same terms as the rest (and the possibility of including them in the HoF would be another thing to consider, as it would be absolutely unfair). Other option could be to put the three of them in another cathegory, distinct from the real fan custom mods, which could include all 'professional' mods (I mean, all that their author demand payment for them, perhaps also including the OCs). I know there is not a classification for mods, at least in the overall searches, and perhaps some people could think that all what I have said is a nuisance, but I think it would be a little token of respect towards all the other mod authors of this Vault which does not gain from the players other thing than their gratitude and recognition (and that in the best of the cases, perhaps). PS: Note I have not talked about the mods' prices anywhere, only of the implications and differences which result for them if having one regarding the rest. I personally think they are not expensive and I would buy them were they released in my language -though I have not any problem with English-, though knowing they could probably dissapoint me). Also, I have posted this message in each one of the three premium mods threads, as I consider they meet the same requirements I state about them. I hope Maximus does not see this wrong.

Great story - good ideas - no closure. This mod presented a great beginning but no finish. There were some great converstation options and the story looked like it would be good - then it was over. There were way too many questions presented in the story that were not answered. Too bad this could have been great.

Excellent mod, my only complaint is its short length.

The difference between these "premium" mods and the OCs is that the OCs came with the game. I didn't by NwN, SoU and HotU for the modules. The modules are lousy, embodying all the worst aspects of story design: Monty Haul, H&S, limited role-playing treasure hunts. I bought the games for the game engines, so I could play the good mods made by the community. If I spend even $1 on a "premium" mod and it turns out to be crappy, I can't get my money back. As I said, the OCs are all crappy, but I don't need to worry about getting my money back because I didn't by the games for the mods. That's why these "premium" mods are lame: if you buy one and it's no good, you've just lit a $5 bill on fire.
