The second part of the Giant scenarios based on the PnP version. You have defeated the Hill Giants at their Steading and learned that the Frost Giants have been behind their actions. Now you must destroy them too and hopefully find the true masters of the evil pact that unites the different clans against mankind. The Glacial Rift beckons....
The third part of the series "Hall of the Fire Giant King" can be found here

Solid series. Played the PNP many moons ago, though I do not remember them. Solid hack n slash modules. Each module seems to get progressively better. I appreciate the hard work that went into making these modules. Thanks!

Thanks for the work, it looks great and love the music. Disappointed, however, that there was no Hammer of Thunderbolts at the end. Oh well...

Best G1-G3 conversion on the vault. IMHO despite the module flaws Trev did manage to recreate the PnP adventure look and feel.
There is nothing like the AD&D Ranger (Giant slayer) in the 3rd edition. Giants always did hit hard but a Ranger lvl 10 (with the +10 bonus to damage could take one down in 2-3 rounds). I tried to get that feel of David vs Goliath battle by playing a ranger/fighter/WM wielding a couple of kukris (Giants do have an Achille's heal after all). I don't always agree with the reviewers point of view about the conversion but I agree that the serie is barely average. I however had a great fun with my giant slayer and my score does reflect that.

I liked this one better than the first. I have to agree with shellyuk. Classic old school pnp (converted to NWN) at some of its best. Thnks for your work.

As much fun as the first part. Classic old school action.

Nice sequel, I prefer the first chapter though. This one made me a little bit tired towards the end. Maybe cause I started playing right after chapter 1 and I explored a lot and the maps were quite lengthy. What I missed was some npcs to talk and a trader and some clues along the way. The battles were more challenging than those in part one but again I didn't find them particularly difficult. The Jarl, his pets and his consultant were easy enough. When I entered Jarls and Carls area I battled with some young giants. After that, I moved to open some chests, in a part of the area which was filled with chests and before I'd reached the first chest I suddenly got xp and advanced a level. I think it was 600, but I don't understand why I got them. The young giants didn't give me any xp cause me and my henchman were pretty advanced.
After defeating Jarl I got his head and his key immediately but forgot about his weapon which was vanished. Opposite the lever there was some kind of a trigger which I would had missed if I hadn't used the tab key. I clicked on it, set off a poisonous trap and inside of it there was a lot of booty. Was it suppose to be a chest?
Overall, I liked it but less than its prequel.

Trev,
Great Mod. enjoyed playing it. Not sure if this is a bug or not but the first time I talked with Bogella could not have him as a henchman but when I talked with him again he did join me so that I was able to play solo with two (2) henchmen.
Looking forward to playing the third Mod in this series.
Thanks for an afternoon of playing time.
I am sending you under separate cover a jpeg of Bogella and the rest of my party reporting back to Lord Tarragon Marlin with Jarl's head.

Nice overall module, that runs a whole lot smoother than G1. That said I would also say that in some ways it felt blander, as though there was nothing special about the way it was 'dressed'. Classic PnP conversions can be tough to make exciting and run smoothly as they are based on dice and imagination, more than computer screens and scripting can usually produce. I found that some of the screens felt like 'work' to get through, but again this is just minor complaining. I was happy to find this mod pretty much bug free, which is why I gave a higher vote than I did for G1.
Bugs and Possible ***SPOILERS***
Biggest Bug was that I was randomly getting 6000 exp. for NO REASON. This happened 3 seperate times, and those times couldn't be redone, even after walking through them over and over. The first time was in the area called 'Ice Cavern' before the doorway that leads to the 'Western Ledge'. Second time was upon entering 'Cold Breath' area from 'Junction' area. Last time was right before entering Jarl's room. Weird isn't it????
As Steve mentioned before, the prisoners didn't respond to being saved ever.
The wonderful giant henchman doesn't respond when Jarl is killed. This was disappointing as I was hoping for at least some new dialogue from him!
Otherwise, it was a pretty good adventure. I would write more but I must go have a bath....being covered in giant blood sucks!....
Thanks for the hard work Trev.

Hello. I am new here and I have a problem with the G1 and G2 modules I have downloaded. I have NWN platinum but I get a message saying the modules have been created using a newer tool version. What gives ?

Fairly good hack and slash. I finished all 3 and it was an enjoyable series.

A big improvement over the first part but still lacking in several areas. See Vault review for more details.

The best in the Giant series because of how the caves are interconnected and because some area can still surprise you. In the end enemies gets repetitive but than it's over.
However bossfighting are really lacking for such an h'n's mod. _________________________ The hottest new modules you can't miss - player suggested

Thanks olcottr glad you enjoyed it (and the area names). I have found that henchmen are very rarely used by players so have eased up on the number. _________________________ Trev

Great mod! Even better than the first one. I like how you toned down the number of henchmen. That got a little crazy in the Steading. I also enjoyed the funny names for the areas. Good clues!

I liked the "wildness" of all the different caves. I was hoping for a little more at the bottom of the rift, something much more deadly. Maybe more of a swarm of yeti and winter wolves. Something to make me think twice about pushing ahead down there. Otherwise, good fun, like G1.
